Black Light Smoke lends this remix a wounded, uncertain beauty. Leah Lazonick's voice feels distant and fragile, floating through a veil of distorted percussion and analog gravel. It seems to be a piece of music that breathes on its own. First loose then dense and full of unresolved feelings.  Glory Club is a collaborative project tied to Jordan Lieb, featuring moody, vocal-led productions with artists like Léah Lazonick. The remixer Black Light Smoke is Jordan Lieb’s solo alias, known for a gritty, analog approach to electronic music.

Released in 2014, it still seems like a strange dream that you can't quite place. It's a rare kind of remix that unfolds a lot. A natural pick for our Classic of the week selection.

Axel Boman returns in defiantly good form with a brand new original EP on his very own Studio Barnhus label, blessing this fast paced world with some slow moving music inspired by the Eterna Primavera mountains outside Medellin. Specifically, this record was created during months of isolation spent on an avocado farm, with the Swedish producer letting the outside world disappear bit by bit, until only clear shapes of unclear importance remained.
Of course, this is all just an attempt to poetically describe a collection of tracks that sound exactly like the kind of disco business Axel has been meddling in for the last 15 years. Don't be fooled by the rocks that he got, he’s still, he's still Axel from the block. Viva house music!

Philip Kempnich remixes Aaryon and Ran Salman's 'Riptide', fundamentally shifting the patterns of sound consistently to leave you with an ever-pleased, tingly aural sensation. Cid Inc brings us his take on Nick Devon's 'The Poem' featuring Miroir, taking advantage of the earthy bass line through a complimentary arrangement. Oliver Schories faced Soul Button and BLANCAh's 'Rising Silence' turning this track into a twisted fantasy guaranteed to engulf you. MIDAS 104 approaches Animal Picnic's 'Gravity' with a bold confidence evident in the layout of this true anthem of ethereal techno, with a hint of funk! Lastly, but not leastly, Jonas Saalbach remixes Dahu and MPathy's 'Shattered' sticking to the darkness that is, while adding minimalistic elements to make this track simultaneously sink in and pop out in the most unpredictable and astounding ways.

Truly beautiful deep house records are things to be treasured, akin to proper songs that will last the test of time, not made to meet a fleeting fad. This is one of those records and a real pinnacle & departure for BLM & Pawas. Patrice Scott liked the track so much that he agreed to remix it - his first ever outside of his own, excellent, Sistrum label. Using plenty of the original track parts but taking it a different direction, Patrice really has come up with something special. The track moves along with snippets of the main vocal and clever use of the main synth, the groove being underpinned by Patrice’s classic sense of production before moving into a more classic ‘Detroit’ ending - a mindset with a bigger, more dramatic sensibility.

You all probably know Liem "If Only" by know ?! This feel good house track being almost instantly becoming an unifying anthem ! If not you might have heard awesome Eddie Ness "Ombre" we premiered some months ago too. Well LeHult sixth release marks the closing of a circle : Lucky Charmz, the man of its ﬁrst release “Follow Me To Flottbeck Falls” EP, returns to deliver his second full length effort. LHLT006 is the “U Still Coming Over?” EP, a long overdue follow up to his ﬁrst EP : More than anything else, it’s a fresh slice of summer groovers. Opener “Faceless Goat” here instantly delights with it’s majestic opening chords, only to unleash a smashing grandeur of sample fun and lustful grooves. It’s a no-vocals-required killer, rich in texture and yet subtly enchanting. While Faceless Goat is probably best enjoyed blasted out to vast, scenic landscapes on mediterranean coasts from the terrace of a ancient estate, it is also tried and tested for “Vorzech”, houseparties and—of course—any club scenario (it won’t fail you).                   Concerning my remix, I wanted something with more "ooomph" than my previous tracks...judge it for yourself, but I think this one is on a rave tip!
