The third release on Pan-Am Tracks is a full length cassette that features ambient compositions from Cinema A/V, Aserrín, and Virtual Gardening. Shifting gears from the last two releases, Vuelta 3 explores more conceptual and meditative territory by means of generative and improvisational techniques.

Cinema A/V (Evan Henry): Composed on a rediscovered Analog Four in Berlin, DE in June 2023. Special thanks to Kelly O and T Byrd.

Aserrín (Matt Ballenger): JX-3P processed and sequenced using Digitakt, recorded in late 2021/early 2022 in Pereira. Additional processing/mixing with Space Echo by Dylan Cameron in Austin.

Virtual Gardening (Camilo Argüelles and Matt Ballenger): Live improvisations composed and recorded at Estudio Session in Pereira between March and June 2023.

Vuelta 3: Cinema A/V / Aserrín / Virtual Gardening (Previews)

Vuelta 4 takes us back into the realm of club music, featuring five unique House tracks from Nemec and Gavin Guthrie. As a collaboration spanning three continents, it is the first Pan-Am Tracks release produced and widely available in Europe.

Coming to us from Pereira, Colombia by way of Alicante, Spain, Nemec specializes in minimal and experimental dance rhythms with heavy influences from micro-house, dub, and ambient music. As a strong voice in the burgeoning Pereira music scene, he developed his reputation performing, planning events, giving classes/workshops, and organizing record exchanges through projects such as Mosh, Discos Desfasados, and Estudio Session.

Representing Texas and our North American enclave, Gavin Guthrie has developed his musical resume by different turns with classic analog synthesizers, Detroit club sounds, horror movie soundtracks, and Dallas' rich (but perhaps not so widely known) history of dance and electronic music. He has released over 20 records, including releases on L.I.E.S., Dixon Ave Basement Jams, Creme Organization, and Medical Records. Gavin has supported and curated several other artists through his label Texas Recordings Underground (TRU), which now has a radio show by the same name. As co-host/DJ of the Disco's Revenge parties, he has been a consistent voice in connecting the past, present, and future of electronic dance music in North Texas.

Vuelta 4: Gavin Guthrie / Nemec (Previews)

@Pan-Am-Tracks welcomes @DVSNME & @Krypton81 for its latest physical release, a 2xLP collaboration between the two Electro visionaries. This ambitious project pays homage to the legendary Das Muster, a pivotal figure in the Electro genre, and promises a sonic trip that resonates with fans of the genre.

Both artists set the tone with intricate rhythms and analogue warmth, embodying the meticulous craftsmanship, and Avant-garde characteristics of classic Electro. Pulsating basslines and shimmering synths intertwine, creating a vibrant, futuristic soundscape. This dynamic interplay between the two artists continues throughout the album, as DVS NME and Krypton 81 counterpoint each others explorations into the cold sound of their late, great friend.

This full-length 2xLP physical release on Pan-Am Tracks, encapsulates the essence of Das Muster. Meticulously crafted and thoughtfully sequenced, both artist showing their massive love for the legacy of the sound in creating this record.

DJ George visited Pan-Am Tracks headquarters a little while back and played some House records for an afternoon.

DJ George has been a fundamental part of the Pereira electronic music scene for many years. Focusing primarily on House music in a city where Minimal and Techno seem to all but reign supreme, he has consistently maintained a classic music aesthetic more akin to Chicago or Detroit than what you would expect from the coffee covered mountains of Colombia.

As a founding member of the group House Republic, George spreads his love for all things funky and groovy on a weekly and sometimes daily basis throughout Pereira and beyond. He also gives back to the community by teaching new and aspiring DJ's at the DNA Music Academy from his experience and expertise. Cheers, George!

Expanding upon the territory he established on past releases, these 6 tracks present a more complete, composed and confident vision of the musical prowess that Dylan has developed over the years as a local mainstay in the Austin, TX music scene.

Pan-Am Sessions 006: Strange Soul (DJ)

From the depths of the cracks in Fort Worth's concrete fundament, Jeff Johnson's long awaited debut on Pan-Am Tracks emerges, featuring four tracks of Detroit-style deep house.

With Forward Function, Johnson expands upon ideas hatched in previous releases with Texas Recording Underground (T.R.U.), Audiophile Deep, Ordinary Weirdos, and Endcom Records to create a tapestry of rhythm, melody, and ambience that works just as well on a dark, sweaty dance floor as it does in a car navigating North Texas's tangled network of highways and suburbs at sunrise after a long night.

At points rousing and energizing through driving basslines and propulsive rhythms, and at others thoughtful and reflective with lush, melancholic synth pads, Forward Function illustrates both the breadth of Johnson's musical knowledge as well as his prowess in the studio.

A few weeks back, some friends from the Pereira collective Amethyst Girls joined us for a lovely night of music and grilling. Dayhann and Pimi put together an hour of tunes that will not disappoint!

Pan-Am Sessions 008: Xerox

For his first full-length solo release on Pan-Am Tracks, Krypton 81 takes us on an ambient electro voyage through the cosmos with Celestial Sphere Oscillations.

In a 12-part exploration of the farthest reaches of the universe (and perhaps our place in it), smooth ambient textures intertwine with swirling dark arpeggios in a style reminiscent of early synth pioneers such as Tangerine Dream or Vangelis.

Back in July, Luxetumbra dropped by Pan-Am HQ for some carnitas tacos and a little recording session.

Luxetumbra is a DJ pair from Pereira who specialize in a wide range of house, electro, funk, and acid, and often assume resident DJ duties at Mod3house. The timing of this upload coincides with their one year anniversary as a DJ team, although one might be led to believe they have been doing this much longer.

Across 15 tracks and 10 countries, Vuelta 6A: Consensus Error assembles the sonic fallout: corrupted signals, cold-wired funk, and fractured machine rhythms recovered from the wreckage. Each track traces the fault lines of a system in retreat, proving that when consensus dissolves, new forms of expression inevitably surface.

Vuelta 6A: Consensus Error (V/A) [Previews]

During our most recent recording session at Pan-Am HQ, Select (Amethyst Girls) delivered a mix that takes us on a little journey through raw and hypnotic techno.

[Valentina Estrada, known professionally as Select, was born in Manizales and currently resides in Pereira, Colombia. From a young age, she demonstrated a deep passion for music, which has led her to explore and master various genres. With approximately two years in the music scene, Select has distinguished herself through her love of powerful sounds, fusing styles such as raw techno, hardgroove, and hypnotic techno, giving her a unique versatility in her musical approach.]

To finish out the year, we present Syncneedle with over 90 minutes of soulful house and funk music from our recording session back in November...a great note to end the year on, if you ask us!

Syncneedle is an emerging DJ and music selector based in Pereira, Colombia. Known for delivering bespoke sets that move fluidly through house, disco, funk, and electronic grooves, he is a regular presence at clubs and events across the city.

As a long-time staff member at Pereira’s vinyl-only listening bar El Rincón Clásico, Syncneedle has developed a deep ear for music across eras and styles. This fusion of past and present, paired with an affinity for worn, time-stained records, shapes a sound rooted in texture, rhythm, and dancefloor intuition.

If you are ever in Pereira, stop by El Rincón Clásico to enjoy some music, a drink, and the atmosphere...and you may even find some Pan-Am Tracks records for sale there;-)
