Bastinov (aka Diego Gennaro) is a Venice based young producer and DJ, following his last year release on Etruria Beat he is now presenting a more mature work, showing his artistic growth.

This EP, the 19th of Etruria Beat Records and the 2nd release from Bastinov , is a path into techno and in its shades, starting from punching and rolling sounds and ending up with the addition of some melodic parts. 

Beyond the original mixes the EP is enriched with remixes from label boss Luca Agnelli, newcomer talents Toms:due and Proudly People.

“Pentagon" is composed by an alternated hypnotic synth’s melody and a vibrant groove which will bring you into your deepest mental journey.

Luca Agnelli's remix of “Pentagon" is a dub-techno explosive interpretation of the groove,  spiced by a dark triplets synth and an amazing kick-dropping that will burn up the dance floors for sure!

“Theorem", was created with an amazing and pleasant chord, a devasting groove and big-punchin kick made by analogic drum machines (as the vintage Roland CR5000).

The second remix on the vinyl comes from Toms:due that moved the track down to the “Motor City’s rules”, adding a massive and dirty 909 groove and giving a special reinterpretaton of the original synth.

A special digital bonus remix comes from Proudly People , composed by their unmistakable dark and deep techno sound,  perfect for early morning djsets.

As days go by and the wait for the new full length Pan-Pot album 'The Other' grows shorter and shorter, it's time to temper the restlessness again with two more meticulously selected tracks from the forth coming long player.

The cleverly titled 'Fist Bump From Destiny' is a story of patience with huge payoffs. At nearly 10 minutes, it's a long ride that builds slowly as persistent and hypnotizing tones circle and stalk, continually growing into the semblance of a cosmic clock. As the concept of time seems to disappear, the reward reveals itself: a fist bump from destiny.

'Operator' parallels the story of a tenacious vessel navigating a course through an impenetrable fog during the darkest shade of night. Low menacing rumbles and short sonic blasts serve as bold displays of position while a perpetually rising synth provides the momentum it employs to advance into the dark.

Pan-Pot - Fist Bump From Destiny

Swiss techno label !Organism is back after a busy summer of releases with yet more club dynamite in the form of a new EP from Daniel Boon. His top two originals get remixed by Sin Sin and all in all this is another essential package. Boon has been DJing since 1997 and producing records since 2004. He has been tapped up for his unique techno by labels like Ostfunk and Neuhain and now makes his debut on Organism in fine style. Up first is the compelling Definition, a murky and machine techno track with heavyweight kicks and grainy textures all running through the groove. It is an industrial tinged affair with dubbed out undercurrents, icy hi hat ringlets and stomping claps that really make you want to move. Then comes the just as excellent Ultimate Dancer, which is less of a warehouse banger and is more funky and light footed. It is run through with alien synths and cantering drums and is constantly working towards a tense crescendo. When the pressure is released and the thing kicks properly, floors are sure to be swept away in its wake. Remixing this one is Sin Sin, who runs his own vinyl labels and is an !Organism regular with his own dynamic brand of pumped up techno. His version is less dark and has more air and space in its arrangement. Tense chords still litter the funky rubber kicks, but there is a sense of playfulness here that will really stand it out. With this EP !Organism welcome a hot new talent to the fold and with his first EP for the label he doesnt disappoint.

Paul Ritch and his Quartz Music label return with a very special treat! The first release on Quartz was Paul’s own “Split EP”. The response to the music on this EP was incredible. Not only from specialists, but also from the public. How do you improve on the package? 

Well, draft in one of the biggest names in world of techno to not only provide a remix, but take the two biggest tracks from the release, combine them, and remix the mutant offspring. Indeed! This is just what Dubfire has done. Taking &gt;Walk The Line&lt; and &gt;Split&lt;, melting them together, and then reworking them to provide what will, from now, and forever more, be known as.... the &gt;Split The Line - Dubfire Mega Remix.&lt; 2008 proved to be a wonderful year for Dubfire.
