Jostronamer faces the “Artificial Intelligence” for the sake of humanity, restoring balance between the human and the machine. Something that is inevitable, something that must be done.

With the first track Artificial Intelligence Jostronamer opens up the portal and drops you into a firefight of pure energy. Feel the first encounter with the AI as the mind is sucked into a vortex of relentless destruction.

With the second track Resist, Jostronamer puts his foot down, making his demands, showing the AI that it is going to have to make compromises with the human race for the symbioses to work.

Next is the Exile, standing his ground, half transformed, trapped in between two minds, exploring the deepest zones of the subconscious for answers.

Preparing to Invade.

Invader is now taking full control over the AI, Understanding the fight and what must be done to survive. The invasion has begun, we must stand to fight as one.

With the help of the electro titan Commuter, he is bringing the last battle to the AI, His remix of Artificial Intelligence takes a new form and modulates into an alternate dimension.

Where the machines take over within this controlled chaos.

This release is what true electro is really all about: uncompromising bass lines, rhythm that can shutter time and space, mysterious ambience that lurk deep into the depths of our consciousness combined with raw energy from the machines drum rack to keep you hooked in the fight for the future.

After all the AI was a human creation.

Is the fight within ourself or the system we have created and conditioned to endure. Either way the suppression must come to an end.

Artificial Intelligence

A new imprint hailing from Ljubljana, Slovenia, KRI aims to capture the lost futures of EBM, electro and nu-wave from the 80s while pairing them with future-focused productions of the now. Named after post-punk group Otroci Socializma, the label ran by local DJs and promoters Schrauff & Lavka will showcase records enjoyed both in the club and at home, while re-issuing obscure and timeless records alongside fresh material from producers across the globe. The first instalment welcomes a well-crafted journey and debut collaboration between Christian Kroupa, arriving off his LP on Natural Sciences under his Alleged Witches alias, and Return to Disorder and L.I.E.S. alumnus LCN (aka Le Chocolate Noir), with the two producers serving up their eclectic ‘World’s Connect’ EP - backed by a remix from Mannequin boss Alessandro Adriani.

In this EP the soundscape evokes a more primitive side, representing his roots with tribal rhythms, and a distorted percussive tinge, with fat and serious bass, breaking boundaries generating an atmosphere of ritual. This is how Essimé approaches the composition.

Dark Entries celebrates its 15th anniversary by returning to where it all started, our initial darkest entry: Eleven Pond’s masterpiece Bas Relief, an ultra-obscure album from 1986 that would become a definitive dark pop holy grail. Eleven Pond was James Tabbi (vocals, acoustic guitar), Jeff Gallea (drum machine, synthesizer, vocals), Jack Schaeffer (guitar) and Dan Brumley (synthesizer, samples, vocoder, melodica). They met in Rochester, NY, while attending art school, brought together by their shared love of 4AD and Factory Records. Taking cues from acts like Joy Division, Fad Gadget, and For Against, Eleven Pond’s infectious basslines, churning guitar riffs, and atmospheric synths will charm all fans of moody music. But what really makes Bas Relief shine is the timeless songwriting on classics like “Tear and Cinnamon”, “Portugal”, and the anthemic “Watching Trees.”
With only 500 copies in it’s initial release, Bas Relief resurfaces with a fresh remaster that corrects a pitch shift from previous reissues. Each copy is housed in a screen printed jacket, like the 1986 edition, and includes a lyric sheet, two postcards and a bookmark. Bas Relief is a true lost relic of the cold 80’s and an essential piece Dark Entries history.

This record flies the flag for creativity in Techno music and stands against the by numbers/sample pack culture that is all around us. Originally frontman and trombonist in Ninja Tune signed band, PEST, It’s the ideas that make his music sound like nothing else.

Never taking the easy route and injecting each production with his particular brand of wry humour, this EP has all the Fedka hallmarks; Pure funk, eccentric riffs and huge basslines collide with epic 3D chords that skid around on playfully sleazy beats, all inside a Techno framework that references the classic era of ‘wonky’ Techno whilst bringing it right up to date and into the future.
