‘Mind Control’ is set to be a series of EP’s focused on more upbeat, driving tracks, diverging from Kuzmin’s typical chillout dance style. The music is made to feel comfortable both in the club and in headphones and is a modern interpretation of classic era house and garage, inspired by the DJs that regularly spun at London’s renowned fabric.

These releases will be supported by a new string of parties, also titled ‘Mind Control’, and headlined by Nuage. The parties will be a platform for Kuzmin to showcase this alternate sound.

Kuzmin, on the creation of ‘Mind Control’:

“When you’re on the dancefloor the only thing you can feel is the music so the music controls your mind. Following all these stressful events around the world, the dancefloor continues to be a shelter for unity, love and peace. My message here is to free your mind and let dance music control it. It's my goal to create music for the dancefloor of a dream – a place we all feel safe and happy – that’s the meaning of the ‘Mind Control’ series.”

‘0% Anxiety’ is Nuage’s 4th album, capping off a decade-long career with an album filled to the brim with emotion. This album features an abnormally large number of features for the artist but the result is a body of work that packs an emotional punch on top of being perfect for setting off a dancefloor. 

On lead single ‘The Place We Know’ Nuage teams up with Brisbane-based Güs (Angus Hayes). Güs’ vocals trade off with dancing synth melodies. Vocal chops stutter over a laid back dance beat as piano samples shuffle in and out amongst moody ambience. The result is a sublime track that is both dance-floor and bedroom ready.

I often find it hard to separate the emotional and methodical while making music. So tonight I challenged myself to make a song in an hour (it ended up being an hour and twenty seven minutes); working quickly and without developing the emotional attachments to sounds and ideas that would otherwise keep a production hidden in the deep and dark depths of the hard drive, silently hoping that maybe, just maybe, it might just one day see the light of day.
