My latest track is a very personal tribute to my late dad who was and still is the most influential person in my life. I am releasing the track on what would have been his birthday 15th May. 

This has been my hardest, but also most rewarding challenge to date and has been in development for over six months. The aim was to produce a cross genre track of classical EDM to capture my love of electronic music with dad's love of classical music. 

The track leads you on the journey of loss, remembrance, hope and peace.
 
For me it has been a very cathartic experience using music to express what is often difficult to articulate into words and I have learnt a lot about myself in the process. Even if surrounded by a lot of supportive people, grief can be a very lonely experience. For those of you who have lost someone recently or in the past I hope Hymn for the Fallen will resonate with you and help you realise you are not alone.

There are two people who are always heavily involved in my music, but this time my thanks are particularly heart felt. 

The first is to Matt from MDT-Vision who not only provided sound technical advice (and went above and beyond when mastering this track for me), but also helped me understand the story I wanted and needed to express, often pushing me to go the extra mile (which I admit I resisted at times) but which has elevated the track far beyond my expectations.
 
The second is my husband Mark who with very little input from me produced a video portraying exactly the atmosphere I wished for the track. He has also been there for me as my rock while I came to terms with dad’s dementia and ultimate death in 2022.

My dad was always a glass half full type of guy, lived life to the full every single day, loved his family and was generous to a fault. He never let his age define who he was or what he was capable of, something I have always respected and tried to emulate as I  grow older myself. He is and always will be my inspiration.
