We’re so excited to announce our next release on Radical New Theory from none other than  LUXE. 
Her debut EP ‘Belonging’ caught our attention a few months ago and we haven’t stopped playing it since. 

It’s been amazing having already had support from 6music with several plays of A83 from Mary Anne Hobbs over the last week. 
LUXE’s first release on RNT is off to a flying start and we’re so excited for what the future holds for her.

This was another one of those rare moments when I listen to a straight up demo cold and just instantly know that it’s completely and utterly right for the label. Qant ( @qqantt ) served me up some eyes down, impeccably produced bass heavy slices of pie and I was gobbling them down before you could say extra mozzarella.

Big beats, big bass and enough bleep bloops to set up a satellite business.

After a brief period of studio lock-down at the start of 2019, Brame & Hamo are back and present their fifth EP ‘Pressure’ on their eponymous imprint, due out on the 24th of June.

Having recently appeared in the Mixmag Lab, and put out a highly-curated mix via Ninja Tune’s Solid Steel Radio late last year, the duo from Sligo have an ever-increasing tour schedule, which is taking their vibrant brand of music to dancefloors worldwide. They recently completed a sell out four-show tour in Australia, and have trips to the USA, Canada and Asia booked for later in 2019.

This EP is a contagiously energetic three tracker. Starting off with ‘Pressure’, an infectious drum pattern morphs into a driving and spacey dance floor weapon. ‘Transit’ is an intricate commute of driving synths, whilst ‘Dial Up’ is the guy’s take on breakbeat rave, taking inspiration from Josh Wink and Chemical Brothers.

“The start of 2019 has been a few months locked away in the studio juggling demos for various labels and making sure everything is just the way we wanted it. We have been putting ourselves under a lot of (self-inflicted) pressure to continue to deliver music of the standard of previous releases, and finally we got there. Each of the tunes took only a few hours and were all done in one take, using all the hardware in our studio during some intense jam sessions’.

Mesmé traps you in a web threaded with warped synth lines, chugging breaks, hefty lows and her own distorted vocal venom. This release will have you caught, instinctively trying to gyrate your body free as the sound descends upon your psyche…

@jenkemmag and Steel City Dance Discs unite for a high-energy compilation – each team bringing forth two artists of their choosing for a heavyweight bout across 4 tracks.

All four artists are up and coming international-based electronic musicians and DJ’s, regularly releasing records and appearing on the international club circuit (that once was). The combo represents a global take on Electro, Techno, Drum and Bass, and main room rave-style rhythms.

Jenkem Recordings is the music imprint of Jenkem Magazine, a skateboarding and culture platform, based in New York. Jenkem Recordings’ main goal is to continue to push the strong connections between music and skateboarding by finding new artists to support who have a strong connection to both communities.

Steel City Dance Discs is a record label exported from Newcastle, Australia AKA the Steel City. From House to Gabber, there’s no bracket for S.C.D.D.’s racket – the group has maintained a steady flow of genre-spanning records and tapes since 2016. With the members having originally connected through skateboarding, this collaboration between the two groups came as a natural one.
