Bade Records are back with a fresh new talent, Tom Place. Hailing from Essex, UK, Tom is a veteran producer who started out in the dubstep era and has honed his craft over the past decade. Bade are privileged to kickstart what is sure to be an exciting path with a varied 4 tracker EP from Tom.

First off is the EP title and title track, Corrupted Circuits. Teaming a pounding low end with a frenetic electro lead, this is one for dark basements and warehouses at peak hours.

Following up is Organic Motion, a deeper, stepping track that showcases Tom’s deep UK routes. A drum n’ bass inspired bass line, sharp percussion and vocals come together to form a deeper, well considered track.

Hard Ground follows. Taking no prisoners, this weapon combines a fast tempo, monstrous kick and electro inspired percussion to great effect, switching from a 4/4 to electro grove halfway through.

Rounding off the EP is Solid Lines, a more traditional and highly effective electro track that teams a bubbling synth line with vocals.

'Ethereal Sex’ is the 3rd release to come on already acclaimed label Gypsy, whose past releases have been supported by a fierce cast of artists in electronic music. 

In this release, founder and producer Rudi Calcagnile returns under his new alias ‘Clang’, releasing three slabs of underground techno, oscillating between old school fast techno and hard house. The EP draws influence from a spectrum of adjacent styles between late 90s and early 00s techno, taking inspiration from artists like Surgeon, The Advent, Funk D’Void and Dave Angel as well as labels such as Tresor, Soma and Rotation Records. 

A1 ‘Meritocracy’ kicks off the EP with a distorted funky sequence which gradually reveals a bangin' hard house track, pervaded by heavy kicks, aggressive snares and extreme sharpened hi-hats. Massive! 

The sound becomes more industrial and crispy in A2 ‘Under The Sun’. The track immediately caught our attention with a mix of flattened industrial beats, gritty shakers and a funk bassline that create a tremendous tight groove which explodes in a multitude of powerful elements: dirty chord stabs, chopped vocals, snappy 808 snares, electric guitar riffs. Heater! 

On the flip, like in a secret rendezvous, a gentle-syncopated kick introduces us into a higher dimension where vibrant filtered chord stabs and a vigorous bassline come together as two bodies in a whirlwind of passion...until soaring cinematic strings and punchy 909 snares proclaim a sublime state of pleasure that only a selected few would call ‘Ethereal Sex’! 

GYPSY003 is a one time thing, no distribution, no repress.

Divide indulges in the creation of a transversal narrative, a multidimensional dialect from which ensues a rich tonal palette. A self conquered territory where we’re allowed to stray off the intended path and act as explorers of his gripping and gritty reality.

Divide is the alias of Davide from Italian duo Syntaxism. His output is like a bridge between old generations and new ones, his sounds ranging from sci-fi techno to '90s techno, characterized by minimal sequences, heavy drum patterns, and accurate sound design. Previous releases have found a home on Evod Music (a collective of which he is a part of) and Oscar Mulero's Warm Up Recordings.
