Hailing from historic port city of Gdansk, Tuxedo has been a regular contributor to the Particles catalogue stretching back to a debut a decade ago. During that time, remixes for the likes of Tvardovsky, Erdi Irmak and Monojoke have been complemented by June 2013's 3-track "Destinations" EP, plus appearances on the seasonal compilation series. As he now returns to Particles, Tuxedo once again showcases his talent through the twin-track "Phantasma" EP.

Opening proceedings, "Motion Blur" shimmers courtesy of an immaculate percussive top-line redolent in offbeat hats and ticking shakers. A syncopated melody contributes to the rhythmic framework as freeform organic motifs wander atop unencumbered. Beautiful piano phrases flow alongside detuned plucked strings and thickly textured pads. "Phantasma" is a bouncing bassline gem that pushes forward with dancefloor urgency as a rapid-fire percussion provides the perfect foundation for glorious melodies to pan the stereo spectrum in layers of strings, synths and arpeggiated sequence that make their presence felt at the mid-point. Rising to a crescendo, the third movement picks up the pace again with a springtime feelgood vibe in full evidence.

An iconic Glasgow born artist, now firmly ensconced in his adopted Barcelona home, Funk D'Void is a name synonymous with a plethora of high-profile releases stretching back over a career three decades long. A renowned DJ with performances and residencies across the globe at the most prestigious clubs, a production career in tandem has seen releases on Bedrock, Toolroom and Soma Records plus remixes for Underworld, New Order and Stephan Bodzin. Making his Particles debut, the Fund D'Void remix is a pulsating driver that builds around a hypnotic cadence and deep house chord structure. New motifs evolve out of Tuxedo's melodies panning the stereo spectrum with gentle ease. A smooth bassline groove adds to the deep flavour as free-flowing motifs marry with heavy beat, 808 clap and shuffled percussion into the second half.

Kobana is a name with a strong bond to the Proton family. A firm favourite with an abundance of original work, the Polish star began his Particles career with a bevy of dance favourites in the early part of the 2010's with his co-production work alongside Yane3dots and Mario Hatchet plus sparkling solo tracks. "Behind the Mirror", "BN2 1TW" and "Reload" all hit the virtual shelves in 2011 before Kobana once again returned to the label to remix Gux Jimenez in mid-2021. Now remixing his fellow countryman, the Kobana reworking of "Phantasma" is a stellar rhythmic groover that makes intelligent use of the melodic themes central to Tuxedo's work while giving them an entirely new sonic treatment that takes the track in different directions. A powerfully cadenced bassline sits inside a thick and crispy shell as rippling arpeggios and motifs filter in and out across the 4-minute piece.

With ethereal presence, Tuxedo finds his "Phantasma" given further authority courtesy of remixes from Funk D'Void and Kobana.

An artist with a rich and varied release history, Hot TuneiK has created a powerful narrative through his "Heightened Senses" series. Through seven original tracks and remixes from Stas Drive and Orsen, a third volume now sees a striking new original track and a pair of remixes from Brazilian and Russian stars. "A Song for Camila" sparkles with percussive intensity and deep, resonant kick. Smoothly evolving over its 10-minute duration, rich melodies coruscate above a deep bassline growl and metallic synth. A stripped back breakdown brings together a swathe of melodic layers, glistening reverse-reverb and counterpoint emotion. Hitting its stride again in the third movement, rhythmic dynamism once more propels the heartfelt track through its latter stages.

Danny Oliveira has carved out an impressive name for himself over two decades involved in the electronic music, not least through his DNYO production moniker. Responsible for music featuring on Adidas TV during the 2006 World Cup and finalist for a Sasha remix competition, the Brazilian has been a leading light in underground dance. His production work for the likes of microCastle, Flow Vinyl and his own Konstrukt imprint has only served to enhance that reputation. His 2012 "Echo" EP and 2013's "Future Blending" for Proton were key releases in showcasing a stellar production talent as were remixes for Exoplanet, Lank and Andre Sobota. Now returning to the label for the first time in 7 years, the DNYO's remix of "Healing" makes stunning use of the Amega's original vocals as they drift through the 9-minute piece, coming to the fore in a powerful reworking that makes innovative use of Hot TuneiK's components. Using a dynamic rhythmic foundation to contrast the ethereal vocal and melodic phrasing, the driving techno beat and offbeat hats offer a stellar interpretation that reaches a rousing crescendo in the second half as all elements converge in a club-friendly collage of sonic force.

Operating out of his studio on the banks of the Volga and lauded by Mixmag Russia, Anton MAKe can boast almost a triple century of production credits to some of the finest modern imprints. A regular on Mango Alley, Replug and Balkan Connection, contributions to Proton Music have centred around the "Bulletproof" series which saw a five-track original offering in July 2020 followed by April 2021's "Vol. 2", including a further pair of original tracks plus standout remixes from D-Nox and Sebastian Sellares. A single remix of Huminal's "Life Lantern" in 2020 is now followed by a superb reworking of "Consciousness" which opens with familiar rhythmic underpinnings while whip-cracking kick takes things in a club-friendly direction. Carefully using elements from the original blended with an array of new melodic sequences, sees a new vocal treatment drawing parallels with Henry Saiz as the track reaches a rousing crescendo. Dropping back into the powerful beat and lilting percussive groove in the second half, the instrumental work from Osiris Heyerdahl comes to the fore in a striking interpretation that showcases Anton MAKe's sensitivity, skill and technique.

A third outing finds Hot TuneiK reaching a new state of arousal through his "Heightened Senses, Vol. 3".

Aptly named for today’s environment, ‘No More Wars’ typifies Inger’s current sound and together with a belter of a remix from scene stalwart Jamie Stevens, is a package that will find their way into most DJs music collection. Continuing to add new talent to their roster, Ziger's Eat My Hat Music welcomes Intacto to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Hungary and made up of Kay-D and Benho, Intacto first emerged late last year with a release on Stellar Fountain's Black division. Immediately recognized for their nostalgic progressive sound, the duo would go on a creative swell across the next calendar year, releasing projects via Droid9, Massive Harmony and Mirabilis Records. Now continuing to build on their newfound partnership, Intacto debuts on Eat My Hat with '12th Floor/Sunburst', alongside remixes from Ziger and Mind Conspiracy. 

Beginning with '12th Floor' Intacto crafts a dramatic yet emotive piece complete with timeless narratives. Following a DJ friendly intro it's a selection of growling synth lines and glassy tonal themes which provide a cosmic storyboard, over a bed of pulsating beats and driving percussion. Cinematic overlays and glowing arps unite for a perfect combination of tension and exhilaration, before cross-cultural vocals and a trance-inspired break push energy onwards to a thumping finale. Meanwhile, on 'Sunburst' Intacto continues to explore the emotive progressive narratives for which they have become known. A tough, machine-gun style groove sits at the foundation, while delicate arps, prophetic synths and soulful instrumentation pave the way to a euphoric drop, where colour and texture meet in a goosebump-inducing finale. 

Providing the lone interpretation of '12th Floor' is Eat My Hat label artist Mind Conspiracy. As one of the label's core contributors, Greek artist Mind Conspiracy has developed into a force within the melodic house and techno underground. A decade's worth of discography credits are highlighted by twelve Eat My Hat projects, none more notable perhaps than his most recent, a three-track showcase entitled 'Optic' which landed last month amidst much praise. Now, continuing his work for the label, Mind Conspiracy dials in a heady rendition of '12th Floor'. Setting the piece in motion, a foundation of spongy beats, intriguing vocal fragments and percussive flurries build momentum, before dropping out into a short but impactful break. Buzzing sonics and disorienting projections add depth and colour across the interlude, eventually transferring energy into a soulful, key-changing finale.

The release concludes with label boss Ziger returning for the lone interpretation of 'Sunburst'. With another eventful year coming to a close the Greek artist comes off a string of successful remixes for Eat My Hat as well as an original project for ICONYC. Often paired with Eat My Hat artist Mind Conspiracy, here we see Ziger returning to his solo ways with a powerful take on 'Sunburst'. Drawing on the sensibilities of the original, Ziger reworks the foundation with a modern flair as rippling grooves and flickering sonics bring a contemporary state of mind. Metallic arps steal the air as the first act evolves, bringing with them moments of tension and emotion, before celestial pads provide a path into the main break. Grandiose and dramatic in equal measure, the interlude is sure to captivate your dance floor with glowing swells and timely modulation leading back to the primary arp for a thunderous finale. A stunning interpretation from Ziger to cap off an excellent release for Eat My Hat, one where the newly formed Intacto continues to rise in the progressive house underground.
