An accompaniment to Theresa Chromati's Interlude in Crusted Wounds

Chromati and collaborator Pangelica @pandabunnii (Baltimore, USA, 1992) have composed an intimate soundscape specifically for this body of work. This new soundscape, entitled "Interlude in Crusted Wounds (soundscape)", acts as an audio interlude between the pieces and a direct response to the disparate aura of the galleries top floor. Language is woven throughout this piece and acts as an additional access point into the works. Recurring breaths and Chromati’s
distorted voice act as a cryptic guide as they maneuver throughout the space.

BBW, A Soundscape Odyssey is a three movement piece composed by Pangelica  to accompany the debut solo exhibition of mixed media artist, Theresa Chromati.

Themes of intrusion, friendship, and self love are mystically woven through various field recordings, electronic musical instruments, and Theresa Chromati's voice. 

BBW is an odyssey through caves, forests, powder rooms, and nightclubs that eventually ends at an ever elusive frontier, the mind's eye of a beautiful black woman.
