‘Copper Top’ leads us down an enticing path of melodic rumbles blended with high pitched frequencies, all pushed forward by a haunting female vocal snippet which continues to progress this uplifting yet gritty release from Dale Middleton. Omid 16B’s “On & Off” is a space within the universe where all distractions melt away, as layer upon layer of melodic musical experimentation are fused onto a hypnotic minimalistic groove that defies mere simplistic generic classification.

‘Vertex’ is effortlessly catchy from the off, grabbing our attention with layers of building staccato synths, followed by a euphoric groove undertone moving towards the drop.

Jonas Saalbach offers up his own take on ‘Implications’, laying the focus on elongated bass drones, sparse rhythms and whirring electronics to create a smooth and hypnotic interpretation.

Tamas Skafar does it again, he took Opal's melody and made a wonderful arp out of it. In the break he surprises us when he goes all out with a powerful synth. This track is an example of pure harmony; melody, bass and percussion all working together as they should. A wonderful creation.

To attentive hippie friends, the Güero moniker should ring a big, funky bell. He previously appeared on the You And Your Hippie Friends imprint with his “Convertible Ride” cut, but has since dropped some of those conceptual pounds in an effort to reach maximum sleekness. His debut album “My Way My Rules” is a testament to ultimate funk-a-ficiency, digging deep into fizzy arpeggios, chunky basslines and the occasional guitar cameo, which we highly recommend you to check out in its full glory.
