Time for a new track!  It recently occurred to me that I've never remixed any song from Sonic 2.  I thought I'd change that with my rendition of Chemical Plant Zone.  I remember playing this game when I was younger and I'd play this zone over and over because I loved the song so much.   I hope my remix does the song a little justice.

Ok Ok Ok! I know I've covered this song a BILLION times, but I can't help it! Nothing makes me more happy than pleasant NES chiptunes from Capcom games back in the day.  This cover will replace the original from 2017 with new enhanced synths, drum track, and orchestral instruments.  Look out for the music video next month!

DuckTales Remastered - The Moon (Look To The Stars) Remix - Stage Theme

It's certainly no secret that I love the soundtracks to the first 2 Streets of Rage games released on the Sega Genesis.  Heck, this series (along with Sonic) is what got me into videogame music and chiptunes in the first place, so I certainly owe a lot to the series and the beautiful mind of Yuzo Koshiro.

The old Streets of Rage games were never released outside of the Sega Genesis originally, so as good as the soundtrack was for those games it was limited by the Genesis hardware.  This Remix or "Re-Imagination"  of The Bridge is how I believe this song would sound if the soundtrack was released on CD, and real instruments could be used. 

Slap this one on Repeat and let's go for a ride! 🎵🎶

Speed Highway (At Dawn) is one of my favorite tracks from the Sonic Adventure Soundtrack. This version is arranged with my special DJ HALFRO twist including a new drum track, enhanced string ensemble, and a custom synth melody.

[Update 4/2019]
I decided to go back and show this track a little more love.  All instruments have been re-balanced, and volumes fixed.  Percussion and Synth Melody have added parallel compression and EQ.

Sonic Adventure DX - Speed Highway (At Dawn) 🎵Remastered 2019🎵

The Sonic Mania soundtrack is incredible. Tee Lopes truly brings the game to life with his take on older tracks along with brand new originals. This is my arrangement of Oil Ocean Zone Act 2. I've reworked the overall sound of the track giving it a much wider feel. I used my classic 909 Drum Kit for an extra "punchy" feel, and highlighted some background instruments that were much quieter in the original song. More Sonic Mania tracks to come soon!

Sonic 3D Blast was launched on the Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn back in the mid-90's. Both of them had very different and unique soundtracks.  The Saturn version had a  CD quality soundtrack, so I wanted to take a Genesis version song, and give it some life. If this same track was featured on the CD soundtrack, I'd imagine it would sound a little like this.

Thought I'd try something a little different this time.  If You Had My Love is one of my favorite tracks from the early 2000s. I wanted to give the song a different feel and flavor with more drive and a hip-hop record scratch percussion track.  This ain't the norm from me, just wanted to have a little fun!  :)

September = New Music! 🎵🎼🎹 My latest Sonic remix is from the Classic GameGear Title "Sonic Triple Trouble" This is a darker and bass heavy downtempo arrangement of a brighter song in the soundtrack. The drums can get a little loud, so watch out if you're listening with headphones.  :)

Thought I'd try something a little different from my usual. 'Something Just Like This' is one of my favorite songs, and the melody fits perfectly with 8-Bit Square Wave Synth. Have I mentioned that I LOVE the Sonic Mania soundtrack? This is my MIDI cover of Studiopolis Zone - Act 1. My goal was to match the instruments and voices in the original 1:1 minus the "Lights, Camera Action!" voice samples.  It was a ton of fun creating this track. Hope you enjoy!

This song started as a simple remaster of my original Simon's Theme DownTempo Arrangement from a few years back.  Then it struck me as interesting to see what a song like this would sound like using the sound chip from a Sega Genesis Console.  That didn't turn out sounding quite right, so with a few tweaks and the extra power of the 32X hardware, I came up with this.  Enjoy!

I finally did it! This is my all time favorite track from the Sonic 3D Blast Saturn Soundtrack.  The original song is very "90s", so I wanted to spice it up and give it more modern synth sound, layered house percussion track, and added FX.  Be sure to crank the volume on this one!

I told ya it was comin'!  My "Dirty South" remix of Hydrocity Act 1 features a very aggressive beat with heavy brass, and that "Slap yo mama" bass during the chorus. The perfect thing to jam to during quarantine lol.  Enjoy!

Chrono Cross is an epic JRPG from Square-Enix on the Playstation 1. Not only does this game have one of the most intriguing stories, but one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard.  I originally covered this song in 2015, but due to all of this amazing free time 2020 has stowed upon us, I decided to go back and give the song a complete overhaul.

This is a special release right from the DJ HALFRO Vault. Killer Instinct is one of my favorite arcade games from the 90s.  Both KI 1 and 2 had really rockin' tunes, and as a kid I couldn't get this one out of my head. The original arcade soundtrack is in Mono, so I re-wrote the track with more separation in the instruments.  There is extra gain in the electric guitars and bass, and the drums are nice and crispy!
