Throwing Snow presents ‘Glower’, the second in a series of three EPs of club-focused yet melody-soaked tracks that are “built for the summer, yet seen through a wintery prism,” and have formed the recent backbone of his ever-changing live set. Its predecessor ‘Lumen’ found its way into the sets of DJs ranging from Four Tet to Sasha, and ‘Glower’ looks set to have a similarly broad appeal.

The title track features lush synths and dizzying harmonics, with the propulsive 4/4 carried along with Throwing Snow’s characteristic percussive flourishes.

Up and coming Belgium-born activist Philippe Petit, operator of the Knotweed and Decision Making Theory labels, returns to Figure SPC with a delightfully versatile four tracker. Spanning cold-wave- synth electronics, purist club techno and up-building melodic zones, it's perhaps Petit's strongest effort yet.

Capturing a neo-classical, archaic mood in 'Mist', Philippe works stunning cyclic synth themes along with tactile filtering drum patterns. 'Solaris' and 'Negative Zone' then both work stand-out tracky, trippy elements into two killer club weapons, showing off the frenchman's studio skills. The lighter footprint of 'Suspended' closes the EP with a joyful, above the clouds journey, lifting up weightlessly into the ether.

When you have been running a label as long as we have, it occasionally happens that you have releases up the pipeline which take ages to be released. The remix EP for Patrick Chardronnet’s 2013 hit "All I Got“ is such a case. Already planned for more than a year ago, it has taken this long to be ready for release. But, as good things sometimes simply need time, we think it was well worth the wait and are now more than happy with the result: Four remixes in total, three for "All I Got“ and one for "Random Beauty“, make the release complete, now.

We kick off with the Audiofy Hook Remix, a characteristic interpretation for the super simpatico and world-traveling DJ-duo and long-time friends of Connaisseur. Super tripping, massively grooving and big in love of details. Thank you boys!

Next up is man of the moment Musumeci. His take on "All I Got“ is a super catchy pearl in his own distinctive arp-driven style with touching and tender melodies. A tune for your heart and soul which we are sure will be a regular in many sets in the next months.
The third and last version of "All I Got“ is by German rising star Schlepp Geist, who just had a strong open air track with "Tura“ on our summer V.A. “BBQ Techno 5”. His interpretation, screaming "RAVE ALERT", will destroy dance foors. Massive alarm sounds and a demanding groove make this tune a peaktime guarantor.

The fourth and last track is a remix for "Random Beauty“, the timeless b-side of the original release, which we consider one of the best tracks Patrick Chardronnet has ever have made. Responsible for the remix here is Anthony Middleton, one half of Audiofy and the amazing US act Dance Spirit, well known for their releases on Audiofy’s sublime Supernature label.Their remix is a pure trip taking you far away. Their sensitive dealing with the parts shows their big respect towards the original work. A special track for a special moment.

Oliver Deutschmann continues his Archives series - a two part release highlighting club
tunes that had previously been reserved only for his own sets at Berghain and Panorama
Bar.
As with the previous “Archives” outing, the 3-track “#2” displays Deutschmann’s range well.
The strangely meditative “Clone” meanders through swampy textures while lagging drums
seem to come in and out of time, in turn pushing and then dragging the rhythm onwards.
On the other hand, “Gothic” thunders along with cavernous beats and urgent sirens, while
“Goat” strays to a housier territory with bouncing chords, but still recalls the moments of
menace that pepper the rest of the EP.

Expect a versatile and powerful package, out end of October.
