Algorithmic politics of listening is a podcast that explores the topics of synthetic voice, machine listening, data-driven governance of (and on) sound. 
It was composed in 2021, during my doctoral research on artificial voice, and live streamed by Radio AlHara on January 31st 2023 in the framework of CTM Festival (thanks to Ibrahim Owais).

Algorithmic Politics Of Listening - by SEC_

Au mois de juin 2023, nous sommes parties avec Fanny Testas (Concha 3000) suivre la résidence de création Derniers Souffles, menée par Sonia Saroya et Edouard Suffrin en collaboration avec Meryll Ampe, Simon Cacheux et Thibault Quillet, au GMEM de Marseille. Derniers Souffles est une installation sonore qui travaille à partir de composants électroniques anciens, et vient amplifier leurs souffles pour en questionner la musicalité ainsi que leur histoire. Réemplois, détournements, questionnements éthiques et écologiques, ce documentaire sonore donne à entendre les sonorités de composants considérés comme obsolètes, et d'une époque.

Ce documentaire a été conçu dans le cadre du Dispositif aide à la résidence artistique et culturelle Arts visuels 2023, financé par la DAC de Paris.

Theory Therapy 85: Betty Hammerschlag

This is an extract of a multichannel composition I worked on from 2023 and re-mixed in 2025.
 I have long been fascinated by the Sun—its impact on space and its essential role as Earth’s primary energy source. Its shifting magnetic fields and constant motion create an ever-changing cosmic environment. As the brightest radiation source across many frequencies, the Sun also produces audible radio emissions, especially near the peak of its 11-year solar cycle. This inspired me to begin recording it from 2023.

Using a radio telescope at the Astronomical Observatory Urania in Italy, I captured the Sun’s radio emissions and transformed them into a multichannel composition. The work draws on the Sun’s physical qualities—circular motion, density, flux, and intensity—shaping them into a dynamic musical flow. Through this piece, I seek to poetically express the deep connection between light, energy, and life, and to raise awareness of the Sun’s profound influence on our world.
