When asked about his inspiration he stated…
“I started mixing around 10 years ago - back to these days i felt a certain freedom on exploring the berlin underground scene, connect with like-minded people and play the tracks i like for few hours at home alone or also at small gatherings for friends - that’s how it started. It’s all experimenting and following an inner voice. Music- production came years after after building a small synthesizer at Uni - at that moment (2017) i started sketching on ableton.
What really influence my sound are my roots (Tunisia) first and then my long and versatile experience in Berlin i would say - i’m always seeking to mix and melt that old school raw groove with new rhythms and traditional voices - that’s how this mix is built.

▻ You are originally from Munich, and now you live in Berlin, what brought you there?

I moved to Berlin for my masters but I loved the city since I was a child. Together with my passion for techno it just made sense to move there.

▻ Where did you have your last gig and how was it?

My last gig was Anomalie Art Club in Berlin for a privat event. It was fun but I‘m looking forward to play a clubnight someday. 

▻ You produce your own music in the meantime, how do you always start there and with what equipment do you have for it at the start?

I start with the kick and bassline, add a synth and fill the tracks with drums. I use an analog four a tr8s and ableton live to make my music. 

▻ What's on your musical agenda for 2023?

Finishing my first EP.

▻ I heard you go out a lot, what are your favorite clubs?

Berghain, RSO and ELSE.

Freya K. has a deep love for timeless techno and house on 12“ weapons, but she is always eager to venture into other genres, experiment with different sounds and find sweetspots between genres. 

With this vinyl only mix, she dives deep into her techno collection and combined recent favorites ranging from fresh finds like Key Vinyl and SK Eleven releases to oldschool gems from CLR and Speaker Attack.
