Am heutigen Sonntag freuen wir uns mit @oilst und @benjarli zwei sympathische Schweizer Beatbauer begrüßen zu dürfen. Die beiden Freunde, die auch bereits zusammen als Produzenten released haben, haben sich für uns etliche elektronische Perlen hin und hergeschoben und man kann die dabei entstandene Freude klar heraushören. 

Die afterhouraffinität konnten die beiden auch schon im Zuge von  Veranstaltungen ihres @irubo Kollektivs unter Beweis stellen.

Was macht eurer Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus? 

Bei uns gibts selten Afterhours in Clubs, weil diese meist gegen 7 schliessen. Dann gehts je nach Jahreszeit an den Fluss, in eine Küche oder ein Studio. Wenn neue und alte Freunde, gute Nacht-Geschichten und sicke Tunes in einem Mürbeteig aufgehen, wird der Moment unendlich.


Welche Gedanken mögt ihr uns zu eurem Mix mit auf den Weg geben?

Unsere Vorselektionen für diesen Mix waren zu Beginn recht unterschiedlich, obwohl wir schon lange zusammen auflegen und uns musikalisch oft blind verstehen. Nach einer zweiten Runde diggen haben wir uns dann wie von selbst auf Tracks mit viel Delay geeinigt – und Reverb gibts auch. 

Wi bedanken uns recht herzlich für diese smooth stimmungsvolle Afterhour und wünschen euch nun ganz viel Vergnügen mit dem Mix!

Due to recents experiences and doing music for yoga classes and took some podcast to other dimensions. After my recent travels i've came home and  crossed some "hard-slap-in-the-face" situations. so time for some emotion, sadness, happiness and craziness.
Same doing with this one, it's a melancholic, sometimes dramatic dreamcast with a lot of atmospheres and textures. soundscapes and metallic clashes! It's recorded with vinyl only with needles that are as good as death, so squeezing the last life out of them, crackling the set away, here is something else for you to enjoy!

Our last release, that was almost 4 months ago saw the first remix for Padre's "Golden Hour Trilogy" EP within Pablo Bolivar's Club Vision of "Roselight". We are tremendously delighted to have the man himself back at it again, delivering a patient and ambient mix, that almost inclusively features an array of music from his labels. The soundscapes not only capture the magic of his music direction, but paint a great picture of the music we love. Thank you for stepping by, Pablo!

So this is how this century's roaring 20s start.

A virus is keeping the whole world in check. Daily life is restricted to the bare minimum, nightlife doesn't happen at all. The rich become even richer and more people than ever become poor because of losing their source of income. On this note: Millions of artists, musicians, DJs and others alike are not only unable to do their jobs, but also have to find new ways of expressing themselves.

With UNWANTED, Drosssel's podcast host Bollek is giving some of them a stage to reflect upon their life in lockdown and speak for the greater whole, that's left unheard and feels unwanted in these times, when it's actually the virus that nobody wants.
