This can be looked at as a romantic relationship but the deeper meaning is about the struggle of women within many industries but especially the music industry where they are used as collateral for success and then not given the respect they are due for being a producer, a songwriter, a musician and an integral part of the process. It is about highlighting their struggle for equality in a male oriented industry.

Pin Drop is an uplifting tale of mutual admiration and respect, Paper Dragon flex their trans genre production prowess again bringing you uplifting, breaks inspired house music of the highest quality. Pin Drop is from ‘Circuits’ the second EP from Paper Dragon. The EP is delivered from a strong female viewpoint with lyrical themes that tell the story of the journey through a male oriented world. Pin Drop in particular questions the perceptions and restrictions put on female relationships.
The track has been getting exclusive air time on the Paper Beats SWU.fm radio show and will be promoted using Infectious PR, media campaigns on Ruth Royall and Paper Dragon pages. After a short break from DnB, Ruth Royall’s band Paper Dragon are back with a sure fire smash hit! Hooking up with Grafix to bring you Forget The Rain. They have created a track that encapsulates the feeling of the nation right now! We all want to be back in the dance and this tune will take you right there. Uplifting, energetic, reflective but optimistic. Rolling beats, classic Grafix snares and euphoric Paper dragon vocals from Ruth Royall. Following the success of Mollie Collins X Ruth Royall ‘Remedies’ we can all see Ruth’s song writing is on fire right now and this is another fine example; Get ready for the summer!

Paper Dragon & Grafix Forget The Rain

Paper Dragon are taking it back to the old school with their jungle and breaks infused music. Ruth Royall stepped back from the collective to explode into the drum and bass sphere, making space for a new approach, broader collaborators, and new music with more of a sound system focus.

Following on from the previously well-received EP’s ‘Birds of Paradise’ and ‘Circuits’, the next collection of music due is the ‘Amplified Nostalgia’ album - with raw breakbeats and powerful basslines.

The collective is made up of core member Bruce Turner, Kris Burton and
Jonathan Savage they maintain their high end production ethic and along with keys player Torsten Jensen between them they have worked with the likes of U2, Kate Bush, Massive Attack, Rick Rubin, Brian Eno, Underworld, KOAN Sound, TC, Distorted Minds, Mura Massa, NAO, Mount Kimbie and Fred V & Grafix. 

Paper Dragon have created a solid foundation in the dance music scene and are ready to move into this new phase. Their tracks have been regulars on Spotify editorial playlists they have has spanned the temperatures on BBC Radio 1, with their single ‘Reach’ going from ‘The Coldest Record’ on the Sound System with Jeremiah Asiamah to one of the ‘Hottest Records of the Week’ with Clara Amfo.
