For AXR015, we welcome Dutch duo Binary back to Axon Records with a three track EP.

Opening the release, we have the EPs namesake, ‘About You’. Starting with an atmospheric drop, a bed of pads and melodic stabs give way to building toms and percussion, which break into a techy dance floor roller. With strong low-end elements and snappy drums, it’s a strong start from Binary.

‘Plexus’ is the second track on this release. This futuristic, techy and punchy track is quick to launch. Featuring plucky leads, rolling drums and pulsating basslines, it is guaranteed to rumble sound systems across the globe.

To close, Binary provide us with ‘Frequent’. Containing a modulated plucky bass line and driving top line melodies, this energetic dancefloor track is a powerful ending to this incredible EP.

Once again, Binary prove that they are at the forefront of modern Drum & Bass, and we are honoured to have them within the Axon Records community.

"Shadows" — a powerful EP from the duo Nervorum & Fatrolla, is set to drop on Paperfunk Recordings. In this release, neurofunk takes the shape of a dark story filled with tension and hidden danger. It’s a chronicle of two faceless assassins challenging the shadows, where every beat is a step along the edge of a knife.

The tracks of "Shadows" captivate from the very first moments: predatory basslines and aggressive synths tear through the soundscape like blades in the night. Broken rhythms and a haunting atmosphere create the sensation of a relentless chase, where the line between hunter and prey blurs.

This EP is the sonic embodiment of tension and conflict, where music becomes a weapon and silence is the last breath before the strike. "Shadows" doesn’t just tell a story; it forces you to live through the battle against unseen enemies.

This process leaves its mark on his work, creating an echo that threads a crimson narrative through all of Paperclip’s music and artistic style.

PAPERFUNK RECORDINGS – is a dark drum&bass label which sound will be based on the hard and metallic techstep and neurofunk sound. There’s no place for popular sound. The label’s main goal is to flood cities and towns with the special mixtures containing nano-robots that supposed to get inside people’s brains and plunge them down in the deepest adolescent memories and show them the unrealized future. The hardness of the mix, the steel of the drums, the oil of the bass and the rust of the effects – are the main and crucial keywords of the PAPERFUNK label.
