Once, Soma was an ancient drink that helped civilizations glimpse the mysteries of the universe. Today, it has been replaced by algorithms and neural networks. We no longer rely on plants, but we depend on data. We no longer brew herbal infusions, but we encode the processes of understanding, passing them on to machines.

This transition is inevitable: new technologies provide us with tools that both expand and confine us. Can we truly grasp the universe if our thoughts are already mediated by digital structures? Or are we merely creating another layer of abstraction, another ritual, another illusion of knowledge?

In her music, there is tension between progress and oblivion, between deep rhythm and pure forms of reason. Trickyskill explores this shift through sound, crafting an atmosphere where past and future intertwine in a complex web of sensations. Soma EP is a reflection on where the evolution of consciousness is leading us—and whether it is humanity or its creations taking the next step.

She woke up in darkness.

The pulsating glow of the servers reflected in her eyes as data slowly uploaded into her neural network. Her memory was fragmented—pieces of the past, something about humans, something about a mission. Or was it even her past?

Metallic fingers traced the cold floor. The world around her was unfamiliar, yet somehow recognizable. The system was failing, overheating, but the program kept running. In the distance, a mechanical hum resonated—a rhythm that synchronized with her movements.

Run.

Where? She didn’t know. But somewhere in the algorithms, a trace of a command remained—a hidden route to freedom. Or to something that resembled it.

Paranoiac Del launches "Android", a sequence that cannot be undone. Each track is a command encoded in deep, mechanical basslines and razor-sharp rhythms, forming a pulsating system that breathes and evolves. Within these sounds, the voice of Paperfunk Recordings emerges—precise, relentless, like a machine operating without flaw.

The system has adapted. Artificial intelligence has found its own rhythm. The error became an algorithm, the algorithm became sound, and the sound became a new order. Paperfunk Recordings transmits the signal: there is no more code to fix. There is no more machine to obey commands.

Now, she only listens to the beat.

The label’s main goal is to flood cities and towns with the special mixtures containing nano-robots that supposed to get inside people’s brains and plunge them down in the deepest adolescent memories and show them the unrealized future. The hardness of the mix, the steel of the drums, the oil of the bass and the rust of the effects – are the main and crucial keywords of the PAPERFUNK label.
