Pappelallee Unveils A Remixed Version of "Minimal Movement”
LoLos, the remix artist, brought the song to a different place, while
retaining its original spirit.
August 2023 - German producer Nikolaus Werther, known as
Pappelallee, has once again captivated the electronic music scene
with his most recent release, a remixed version of his iconic track
"Minimal Movement." He collaborated with LoLos, a talented aspiring
producer, through a remix contest on kreasound.com. The remixer's
perspective on the original track offered a new angle, making the work
stand out.
Remix contests are fantastic for producers as they offer a platform to
showcase their work to a broader audience. They encourage
experimentation, collaboration, and skill development, enabling
producers to gain recognition, valuable feedback, and potential
opportunities in the music industry. This is exactly the case here, as
the contest for “Minimal Movement” led to so many amazing creative
achievements.
Pappelallee has been active for quite some time now, counting many
successful releases under his belt. He has earned a distinguished
reputation in the electronic music scene for his ability to blend
minimalism with a melodic approach. Overall, Nikolaus deeply
appreciates modern techno, and his work explores its many facets.
The original "Minimal Movement" already stood out as an exceptional
piece of music in its own right. Still, Pappelallee was eager to see
what other artists could do by putting a new spin on his track.
The remix contest hosted by Pappelallee on Kreasound.com garnered
significant attention. Many people tried to reimagine the "Minimal
Movement" in their style, but LoLos' version was the one that left a
mark. His production on this remix demonstrated extraordinary

talented producer skillfully retained the soul of the original while

Making a stunning label debut, Dutch producer Huminal delivers his two-track ‘Lucid’ EP on Purified Records. Crafting a majestic soundscape, the title track combines melodic and lofty synths with elements of trance and deep house to achieve a radiant and hybrid cut. Moving into ‘Flow’, Huminal devises a dreamy arrangement with undulating synth patterns, rhythmic percussion and delicate keys.

The ‘Lucid’ EP artwork hosts a photograph of corals, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Corals are essential marine invertebrates that form the backbone of coral reefs, supporting biodiversity by offering habitat and protection to marine species. They rely on a symbiotic relationship with photosynthetic algae called zooxanthellae, which provide the energy necessary for coral growth and calcification. However, in Australia, the Crown of Thorns Starfish (Acanthaster planci) is causing severe damage to coral reefs by preying on the coral polyps, leading to widespread coral decline. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (@gbrmarinepark) is actively addressing this threat through science-based strategies, such as targeted starfish culling and coral restoration initiatives, to preserve reef health and resilience. The eleventh EP of Infinite Depth is in the name of a Dutch newcomer, who goes by the name of Rowdy (@rowdyofc). The label is delighted to give him the chance to show the world his first ever release, called ‘Shattered Eye’. The EP contains three original tracks, without any remix this time, to give the full spotlight to this talent. 

The first track is called ‘Neural Awake’. His already created signature sound becomes obvious through the crispy percussion, combined by the heavy lower-end and bombastic kicks. On this lower-end is floating a pretty melancholic and orchestral lead, which leads you through the track, while climbing to its climax.

The title track of the EP, ‘Shattered Eye’, is all about the aggressive and monstrous sound, which you won’t hear every day. It drags you through the tracks and appears at the moment you won’t expect it. The more driving kick-bass combination, together with the claps and other crispy percussion, even brings a certain groove to the track. 

The melancholic and emotional charged melody of ‘Neural Awake’ lives on trough the lead of ‘Circle of Collisions’. In this track it’s only taken to a darker level. In this way the track gives a mysterious, but dignified end to the EP.

After his first EP on Infinite Depth in 2019 and his remix on ID021, Rowdy is back with his second EP. Throughout the year he has been developing his characteristic sound more and more. The result of his hard work is the ‘Misconception EP’, including four originals and a remix by the label’s Greek friends Symmetric & Future of Matter.

Symmetric & Future of Matter took some of the captivating background elements of the original ‘Lucid Field’ and gave their remix a more organic feeling, which is characteristic for their tracks. Everything comes together at one point, forming a very intriguing moment where the acid and main lead are going over their peak, but stay into line.
