Mit „Bitter Sweet Symphony“ präsentiert Glasi eine radikal neu gedachte, melodische
Schranz-Version des weltbekannten The-Verve-Hits. Die ikonische Streicherlinie – die
im Original selbst auf einem Sample der Orchester-Version von „The Last Time“ von
den Rolling-Stones basiert – wird hier nicht einfach neu interpretiert, sondern komplett
dekonstruiert und in ein brachiales Club-Gewand gehüllt, das sofort Energie freisetzt.
Der Produzent aus der Metropolregion Stuttgart bleibt dabei seiner Linie treu: Harte,
kompromisslose elektronische Elemente treffen auf eingängige Melodien – eine
Mischung, die Fans harter unkonventioneller Club-Sounds abholt.
Die Idee zum Track entstand auf der Street Parade in Zürich. Während eines Remixes
des Klassikers sang Glasi die bekannte Melodie gemeinsam mit Freunden im Publikum
– allerdings mit einem selbst erdachten „Na Na Na“, das im ursprünglichen Remix gar
nicht existierte. Dieser spontane Ohrwurm wurde später zur Grundlage des neuen
Projekts.
Als Glasi seiner Kollegin Tanja (aka TANJAH!) von der Idee erzählte, entstand sofort
eine kreative Dynamik. Tanja verfügt über Live-Erfahrung, hatte jedoch noch nie im
Studio aufgenommen. Der Vibe zwischen beiden stimmte sofort – und man hört es:
Ihre unique Stimme verleiht dem Track eine ganz eigene Note.
Die neue Version ist eine Melodic-Schranz-Dekonstruktion, in der die berühmte
Streicherfigur als treibender, repetitiver Kern dient. Alles wirkt druckvoll, direkt und
genau auf jene Peak-Time-Momente zugeschnitten, in denen ein Track die Tanzfläche
komplett übernimmt.
Seit 2021 macht Glasi mit seinen genreübergreifenden Releases auf sich aufmerksam
und hat sich schnell eine wachsende Fanbase aufgebaut. Sein Sound balanciert
konsequent zwischen Catchiness und Edginess, zwischen Härte und melodischen
Akzenten – und genau das zeigt sich auch bei dieser Neuinterpretation.
„Bitter Sweet Symphony“ ist damit kein klassisches Cover, sondern eine Club-
Neuschöpfung, die Respekt vor dem Original zeigt und gleichzeitig mutig eigene Wege
geht. Ein Track, der mitreißt, hängen bleibt und zum Mitsingen einlädt – Na Na Na
inklusive.
