PARA & thE viBes is a production trio made up of New York natives, PARA, thE viBes & PaTricey. PARA, the gifted musician, thE viBes, the vocal-songwriter & PaTricey, the mesmerizing voice, decided to fuse their sophisticated varieties after becoming close friends at Long Island University in Brooklyn. 

PARA generates his eclectic sound from his Ghanaian upbringing, exposing the rhythmic heartbeat of African soul with his eccentric, 1990s fashion district references. Beginning his musical life playing the church piano, PARA quickly found ways to bridge the gap between his talent as a pianist and his “addiction to creation”. His “think outside the box” complex allows him to mend the improvisation of electronic sound and instrumental based story-telling. PARA has generated his personal formula behind composing hit songs while maintaining his standards for originality and musical innovation.

thE viBes, often driven by “narcissistic nostalgia”, or as he calls it, “good viBes”, invents his own style of songwriting, fusing his multi-genre experience with his passion for self-expression. He blends his childhood experiences with Reggae, his love/hate relationship with R&B and his uplifting motivation from EDM to create a collage of harmonies fit to envision his vivid imagination. His story telling comes to life when PARA sets the foundation for his masterpieces.  Whether his lyrics are channeled through PaTricey’s voice, or his own, he reserves a place in music as a worthy songwriter and self-proclaimed story-teller. 

PaTricey, who has become the lead vocalist of the group has molded her identity as a natural talent.  Her love for film & photography fail to outshine her gift as a vocalist.  She began singing for the group once convinced by her college friends who constantly acknowledged her angelic, beatific voice.  She has broadened her career as a musician by co-writing various records for the trio, resulting in most of the polished, sophisticated sounds that have guided the group in its direction.  From her “curly, careless & cute” fashion statements to her deep Brooklyn roots, PaTricey sets trends in music that exceed the bounds of imagination.
