Whelp, the world is opening up. It's time to take to the streets and the dance floors once again. Just remember that the pandemic isn't over for everyone. For the immunocompromised, it just got scarier and more unpredictable. Now that we are all okay to shine our lights bright in public again remember that love must include making our loved ones safe by continuing to practice caution and creating safe spaces for everyone. As we burst from our bubbles of confinement after so long let us do so safely and compassionately.

This mix is a tribute to every stage we missed dancing in front of at all the festivals that couldn't be for the last 2 years. Over a dozen genres with lots of bass and lots of love. I hope it can lift some spirits and help some of you release the inner goblin after being in a cave for so long <3

Bisweed makes his stunning debut on Artikal with two tracks fusing the sounds of dubstep and techno into a percussive sub heavy hybrid. 

Hailing from Estonia and a part of the early dubstep movement for over a decade Bisweed has carved out his unique sound within the 140bpm spectrum. 

Both 'Matrix' and 'Leak' compliment each other perfectly with robotic bleeps, sci-fi sound scapes and a futuristic take on the dubstep sound.

This one is straight up for my leftist fam. Hard-hitting party bass for activists. For the people with any recent college or university education, including those who took solely business, finance, or other capitalist propaganda, that have been able to read through those lines and see the systemic predatory colonial BS therein and inevitably become Marxists whether you know it or not.

This is for those fighting for the unhoused, the evicted, and the renters who watch as their dreams of home ownership get further out of their reach every year. For the downtrodden, the marginalized, and the disabled who face barriers to fight for themselves, and those of us who, despite anything and everything that might be holding us down, refuse to stop fighting when it all gets to be too much, because every breath we stop to take lets the capitalists press their boots harder on our chests.

It's about realizing that we are never going to seize the means of production and our power from literal psychopath billionaires peacefully before it's too late and if we are to save the very world itself we must be willing to use any means necessary to tear the system down. No patchwork bandaid can fix a broken system. We must Defund, Decarbonize, Dismantle, and as a last resort, Destroy. Life as we know it depends on it.

Worldwide Bangers Mix Vol.2

The third, and final mix in this mix series. It seems that funk might actually be in fact allergic to the future... 

This is every last track in this folder making exactly 2 hours of bass fuelled funk which I am taking as the final sign to retire the series. Many of these were left over from Vol. 2 almost 4 years ago, and this kind of cutting edge funk has been slowing down consistently meaning it would be maybe a decade until enough cutting edge sound designed bass funk up to my standards would be collected to make another one so I will just be adding the few that do pop up into my usual party mixes like I used to.

Beatport has reclassified Glitch-Hop to a sub category of Breakbeats, and honestly of the 30 tracks a week that have been uploaded for the past year most of them are Ghetto-Funk which is midtempo breaks that sound more throwback, than future, and a few misclassified trap, and future bass tracks. Even many of my friends that literally have the word funk in their artist name are making more bangin' Trap, and other styles with no real funk elements at all, and honestly I'm all for it, because they are pumping out bomb quality music, and following the times. I'm sure in a few years with some more fresh genres funk will keep coming back like bell bottoms, but for now most of it just doesn't sound very future to me.

That being said, if you disagree feel free to prove me wrong, and send me whatever super bangin', bass heavy, cutting edge sound designed Funk of all new genres. Maybe our tastes aren't that different, and I'm just not finding them, but in the meantime, here is 2 hours of boss ass future funk :D
