Join me as we dive into the summer 2025 lineup which can make or break top studios like Disney. With a lacklustre track record of flops they need a win. Sadly the true drive behind the art of storytelling, acting, directing and compelling characters has been replaced by the “standard” box ticking movie product. Content for content’s sake. 2025 Summer Blockbusters Predictions Holluwood Learned and Lessons?

News flash. Women in space is not a shocker. Along with men there are plenty of hard working astronauts who are women. And like any job especially one so daunting don’t you think skill and merit should win out over all. Well this story is about six brave astronauts, oops I mean passengers who went into space for ten minutes and supposedly changed the world. Lauren Sanchez (Jeff Bezos’ bride to be) and Katy Perry were among the group of celebrities who took a short trip on Bezos’ awkwardly shaped space craft. “Putting the ass in astronaut” Katy Perry’s words not mine. Saying it’s empowering for them to break this new ground. Considering shes a household name worth a billion bucks herself I’m not sure how much more empowerment she needs. I think back to true a true hero like Christa McAliffe whose story was both inspiring and tragic. Join me as we discuss the cringe fest that encompassed the Blue Origin flight for the stars, I mean to the stars.

Blue Origin Flight an Insult to Real Women Astronauts Remembering Christa McAuliffe

The sequel you never knew you needed but now you want. A great movie the expands on the first. Always a good start when you can bring back the cast and have the same director and writer. If you’re not a fan you will be once you realise it’s like John Wick meets Rainman on a spreadsheet with neurodivergent military grade action. If that wasn’t enough the scenes with Ben and Jon Bernthal are the best. Playing brothers on screen is easy when they already have a visible bond. The Accountant 2 Review Ben & Bernthal are Great a Worthy Sequel

Well this is a touchy subject but I take it nobody wants to address the elephant in the room. And since it’s Disney why not just call it Dumbo. And the big Dumbo is asking if global brands like Disney should be involved ethically as well as economically when making decisions. As always I am not leaning either way. I simply point out it’s interesting that a brand that openly supports the LGBTQ community seems morally flexible when it comes to prophet. Building a new theme park in Abu Dhabi raises some questions considering the region’s harsh views on LQBTQ lifestyles. None of our business you say? How do we learn ? Asking questions. How do we improve ? Asking questions. Science is not a religion. Science by its very nature is designed to be questioned. When it comes to advances in science and the medical world I believe we live in one of the best times. I am not about anti-vaccine conversations I’m about informed consent conversations. If my doctor tells me I have a debilitating disease and my chances are slim. But there is a new medication that may help. But he explains clearly and factually the possible side effects. Or the fact that the drug is quite new and there’s not enough data to confirm long term adverse effects. But with that knowledge I’m able to decide for myself the odds are worth the risk compared to doing nothing. Well I just explained what DO NOT happen during the COVID pandemic. COVID in all its iterations is only a danger for the elderly or truly sick. Those with existing comorbidities that a simple cold would push them over the edge. Yet an experimental mRNA Vaxx was pushed on healthy adults and children with no regard for bodily autonomy. We unpack all this and more on this episode of The Ugly Truth.
