In my first night as a 'Zugezogener', I played from 05-08am at the infamous Wintergarten of Sisyphos, Berlin. Probably my best set so far as measured by the grinning faces. Hope you like the sunday morning story I'm trying to tell! Statt auf Plastik und Prozessoren setzt Paul "Funkmaster Doris" Jansen Nadeln auf Vinyl. 
Serviert wird nur das Beste und Saftigste aus Soul, Disco und Funk; direkt auf den Plattenteller. 
Paul zelebriert die Zeit in der Beats noch mit der Hand gemacht wurden und Bandleader noch Trompete spielten statt „Play“-Button zu drücken. 
Doch statt Rückwärtsgewandtheit hat Paul auch immer das Ohr auf dem Sound der Zeit; verliert sich nie in totaler Retromanie! 
Das was wirklich zählt ist das, was nach einem Set von Funkmaster Doris bleibt: 
Cold Sweat! 

Instead of plastic and processors Paul "Funkmaster Doris" Jansen puts needles on vinyl. Only the best and juiciest of soul, disco and funk is served; directly on the turntable. Paul celebrates the time when beats were still made by hand and bandleaders played the trumpet instead of pressing the "play" button. But instead of being backwards, Paul always has his ear to the sound of the times; never gets lost in total retro-mania!
