"Lies," a track from the now-defunct UK experimental group Bourbonese Qualk, get new life by way of a vinyl release on Mannequin Records with Ancient Methods on edit and remix duties. The release will contain also the original short-time version.

Bourbonese Qualk came into existence in 1979, and put out a stream of confrontational albums through much of the '80s and into the early '90s. After a long pause, their final album, On Uncertainty, came out in 2001, and the band disbanded the next year after the death of guitarist Miles Miles. 

"Lies", a terse, TR 808 driven electro-tinged cut just under two minutes long, originally came out in 1986 on the Preparing For Power LP by way of the group's own label Recloose Organization.

Fiers héritiers des artistes du nord-est du Brésil, les trois musiciens du groupe Forró de Rebeca concoctent une musique métisse et décomplexée. Ils cultivent un rapport libre et créatif à la tradition. En résulte un regard frais et passionnant d’un répertoire oral dont le maître mot est la danse.

Basée en Rhône-Alpes, le trio a eu la bonne idée d’inviter l’ambassadeur des global beats Maga Bo à collaborer sur leur nouvel album. Leur rencontre dépasse les attentes initiales est donne lieu à la création d’un nouveau projet, à la croisée de l’électro et des musiques du monde.

En attendant la sortie de l’album Sociedade Recreativa le 04 mars 2016 (produit par La Chaudière Productions et Jarring Effects) vous pouvez découvrir le premier single : « Boa Noite ». Titre qui compte avec la participation spéciale de Papet J, légendaire chanteur du groupe Massilia Sound System.
