In the run-up to his next release 'Arteria' on Maloca, Brussels-based artist Hypna joins us on the Rhythmic Culture mix series this week. Last year, he launched the artist collective and label Plasma Sources, which he intends to use to bridge the gap between the club and immersive listening experiences. The mix is a collection of all sorts of futurist beats, intriguing percussions, and of course a peak into his new release.

DJ @queenplz / Laura Friederich's rave experiences in the 90's included one "dance party" in the unitarian church fellowship hall that she organized during daylight hours which was attended by about 15 people, and a cassette tape her friend gave her called "Laura's Mad, Crazy, Trippy, Ravish, Cool Techno Tape". She did not have access to a car, never snuck out of her house, and did not know anyone that attended actual raves. Teenage Laura would thus be ecstatic to know that not only did she one day get to play her favorite selections from Laura' Mad Crazy Trippy Ravish Cool Techno Tape to a dark room full of sweaty dancing people, but that the set was captured live and is now available for your bedroom listening pleasure (thanks Jess and Sarah!). It's always a joy creating dance party magic with the denizens of this fine town, and she remains eternally grateful for the opportunity.
