In episode 14 of Unnatural Versions, we delve into the sonic universe of El Atalaya, a versatile artist who on this occasion shows us his ability to fuse the hypnotic with the experimental. This set is a sample of his ability to create a dynamic journey full of sonic textures that keep the listener in constant expectation. From the beginning, El Atalaya establishes a solid rhythm that guides the entire set, while introducing raw percussion and synthesizers that break with convention, bringing a touch of the avant-garde.

The essence of this episode lies in its exploration of rhythmic experimentation, where each sound seems to emerge from a deep and enveloping space, taking the listener into a trance-like state while remaining challenging. ✈ To celebrate this new episode, we are proud and delighted to welcome DJ, producer & Falling Ethics label boss. : P.E.A.R.L. (Kaos / Falling Ethics / Moral Standards).

Born and breed in Santander (North of Spain), his first contact with Electronic music comes from 90´s UK Techno that lately will make a fundamental role as his influences and inspiration.
2006 marks the starting point of his now primary outlet: P.E.A.R.L. releasing his first tracks on Tsunami Records.

In 2012 he moves to Berlin and one year after he founds his own imprint,  Falling Ethics Records, first as an outlet for his own productions and lately opening the doors to other creators like Umwelt or Oscar Mulero.

2017 is going to be a pivotal year on his career, with the release of his first Album, Temptation through Impatience, to be released on his very own Falling Ethics imprint and his addition to PoleGroup.

Recently in 2020-2021, he unleashed a string of hard-hitting tracks and EPs such as Tribal Science on Hector Oaks imprint OAKS or We Will Not All Fall , the first release of his new Falling Ethics sublabel Moral Standards: A subjective look at the current Techno scene with music from artists like Matrixxman, Sunil Sharpe, VCO or Nene H. 

As a performer he is an excellent selector in the dj booth, combining the pulse of pounding grooves in a very eclectic way, always making his sets an unexpected journey.

DifferentSound invites DJ SHUFFLEMASTER (Tokyo)

The DifferentSound Podcast #313 welcomes DJ SHUFFLEMASTER! Tatsuya Kanamori quickly became one of the few Japanese techno producers to rise to worldwide prominence within the late 90&#39;s techno scene with his productions and remixes as DJ Shufflemaster. Originally a committed member of the Tokyo-based label Subvoice, where he released several of his early EPs, Kanamori&#39;s reputation outside of Japan was greatly aided by his affiliation with European techno heavyweights such as Adam Beyer, Joel Mull, Ben Sims and Carl Lekebusch. It was no surprise that Berlin-based Tresor knocked on the door and offered Kanamori the opportunity to record her first full-length album. In 2001, he appeared via Tresor, a full-length LP packed with a string of dancefloor-oriented techno productions featuring Kanamori&#39;s trademark aesthetic, making him one of the first Japanese techno producers to achieve worldwide recognition.

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, young DJ and producer Decoder specialises in minimalistic sounds with a sci-fi touch. Decoder’s musical upbringing in which he played the drums and became accustomed to rhythm has paved the way for his musical career. Decoder has already established his space within the scene, with his tracks being played by the likes of legends Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin. His tracks have been released on notable labels such as AMTK+ and Molecular. 

Buckle up for a mesmerising two hours of Decoder.
