Reaching beyond their primary sources of inspiration - jazz, rhythm music and West African musical tradition, Paradox Box musicians offer experimental electro free jazz with etno sounds.

Paradox Box is a Helsinki-based wind instrumentalist and percussion artist duo that delivers hand craft DIY instrument innovation, leavened with digital manipulation of sound and rhythm.

Eero Savela plays and composes music for trumpet, a heritage passed down from his father. He has explored many genres during his decades-long career. His tone quality and phrasing are among the most communicative in the fields of free jazz and rhythm music. 

Aakusti Oksanen is an award-winning percussion artist whose extended apprenticeship with a griot master has brought him an exceptional understanding of West African rhythm. By exploring the infinite possibilities of microtiming in traditional polyrhythmic music he brings new perspectives of rhythm exploitation and dynamic sound to electro-free jazz.
