German techno producer Michael Klein delivers “Nokaut” EP, an epic 4 track exercise in peak-time rhythms. 

Based in Berlin by way of Frankfurt, BLK DRP boss Michael Klein will drop his next record on @secondstateaudio, “Nokaut EP”. The 4 tracker follows the release of his powerful “No Mercy EP” on the Berlin label earlier this year, and delivers another welcomed edition of Klein’s tough but atmospheric sound.

Taking its place as opener is the title track “Nokaut”. Stomping along with intent, the walloping kick and ravey 303 elements coerces you to move. The robust vocal sample spouts repeatedly while the 303 builds and fades, before storming back in with slapping hi-hats. 

Michael Klein’s “Nokaut EP” drops on Second State October 15th.

'Lost Identity' combines a hypnotic vocal with dreamy, smooth synthesized sounds. While the main pluck of the track unfolds, contrasting choir hits and brass stabs enforce the atmosphere of the track and contribute to a consistent whole. The track's main breakdown functions as an emotional intermezzo that completely takes the listener away from reality, resulting in a true journey of escapism.

'Nightcrawler' is characterized by a more dark and aggressive approach. The merciless arpeggio unfolds itself while the track is driven by its reinforcing groove. Tension keeps rising until relief is brought by an astonishing reese sound on the main drop, adding real peak-time character to the track.
