Heya! I'm here with something very different from what I've been doing lately. :3

It was only a few years ago that this profile was mostly full of remixes, and while I definitely enjoyed it, that time has come and gone, and I've mostly settled into making original songs.

However, there's still that itch there sometimes, and I had to scratch it a bit.

I decided that I'd remix something, but I didn't know what, and then I remembered what my most popular song on here is: my old remix of Metallic Madness – Bad Future, though calling it a remix is a bit generous. It was nothing more than a reinstrumentation, and it's felt a bit weird since I've gotten better at the whole music thing that my most popular song is a mere reinstrumentation.

So I decided to do a proper remix of the song.

I’m back with another track!

This time, it’s a track that's far less like Precursor or Atmos and more like Constellation, except I’m far more proud of this than I was of Constellation.

I was just messing around with some chords in Logic, and I messed up the timing for one of the chords. Somehow, that got me thinking that I maybe should change the time signature. Give it a little spice. I decided to write it in 5/4 time, which isn’t very common for any of this kind of music, but I figured I’d give it a shot.

It turned out way better than I could have ever expected.

Hey, everyone!

It’s been a hot minute since I last dropped a remix, but here I am with another one! I’ve actually got a few in the backlog, but I figured I’d drop this new one first.

This is a remix/cover of one of my favorite pieces of music: Rena’s Theme from Star Ocean: The Second Story and its remake, Second Evolution. It’s such a wonderfully emotional song, and it fits the atmosphere of the game so well and really stands out as, in my opinion, the best character theme in any game to date.

Since this is not only one of my favorite songs, but also since Rena is one of my favorite characters in any game, I simply had to make a remix of this eventually, and here it is.

Hey, everyone!

I know it’s been a while since my last song. Kinda wasn’t feeling it recently. My muse was afk, as one of my friends put it. Couldn’t even get a simple remix out.

However, it was while I was working on a remix (which I’ll hopefully post soon) that I came up with the idea for this song.

I had my keyboard out and was just playing around with a few notes in the higher octaves and came up with an arpeggio that sounded rather unique and interesting, so I slapped it into a new song and worked off of it until I had what’s here right now.

It hasn’t even been a day, and I’m already here with another one!

This one was directly inspired by Skypiercer, which you’ll probably be able to tell by the album art.

I took one of the piano riffs from Skypiercer and decided to make it its own thing since it sounded pretty neat on its own. I’m glad I did, because I haven’t pumped out a song this fast in a long time. It feels good to be back on track.

Hey, peeps!

So I’m trying to get into the rhythm of scheduling my music so I have a bit more of a consistent posting schedule. If I really want to post something right away, I probably still will, but for now I’m going to try this, so that way, if my muse ever goes away for a bit again, you’ll have a steady stream of content.

I had originally just been playing around with chords on my keyboard when I came up with the rhythm of the chords playing at the beginning of this song, and I built the whole song off that. They had a bit of an eerie feel to them, so I went with it, and I made one of my most spooky songs I’d ever made (not including some outright horror songs I made before, which I should be posting soon).

I’ve been trying to implement more chords when I’m using instruments that are clearly based off keyboards or are trying to imitate a choir, and because of that, I think this one came out pretty great.

We’re nearing the end of this journey. Just a couple more after this one.

Not much to say about this one other than showing that I might have an obsession with naming songs after space things or making album art having to do with space things. I mean, there’s Constellation, Wish, Atmos, and now this… I must really like space. XD

Here’s the last one of the bunch!

Well, this bunch anyway.

You could say that this is just the end of the beginning. I’ve still got quite a lot of tracks in my backlog, and I’m planning for the next backlog collection to pick up right after this song, and you’ll see what I mean when that (hopefully) starts getting posted a few days after this drops.

For now, have what I think is one of my most unique compositions.

“She really has this air of wisdom around her. I feel calm around her, as if her mere presence melts my worries away. I can’t help but wonder if this is even natural, and if it isn’t, is she even doing this on purpose? I worry this could be used in catastrophically wrong ways.”

We’ve just got one more after this one, but this is the oldest of the bunch I’m posting right now. It’s one of my simplest compositions, but I still love it for how it seems to invoke such a hopeful feeling.

So... yeah, I was really bad and didn't post anything for a month even though I was going to start scheduling some of my backlog to go up.

But I've got something to make up for it! This is a whole new song instead of just backlog stuff—which I'll still hopefully get to soon, anyway.

I actually came up with this one by just smashing keys on my keyboard, and a nice chord came out, and I ran with it. XD Inspiration is weird sometimes.

I know it’s been a bit again, but I’ve been hard at work on this and other project since I last posted.

With this one, I had something happen that rarely does: I just decided to start making music. My muse hadn’t struck or anything, and yet, I still had the urge. So I just went with what I started playing after a moment, and I got this beautiful chord progression. I went from there, and… Well, this is the result!

So… I know I’m really terrible at keeping a consistent schedule for posting. It’s never been my strong suit, no matter what I’ve been posting or how creative I’ve been lately. I’m not going to promise anything, but again, I’ll try to get better about it, especially considering the backlog of stuff I can post.

But regardless of that backlog, here’s a new one!

I originally set out to make a sad, emotional song since I hadn’t really done that since Frozen Memories, but that got completely turned on its head when I found an arpeggio that really clicked with me tonight. It sounded kind of spooky… and honestly, perfect for October, so I went with it.

What resulted was the first song of mine that I can really call a waltz, though it’s certainly not a traditional waltz. It’s moody and a bit spooky. It sounded like something a madman would dance to when I was composing it, and then my imagination got a bit too overactive, so the idea of Madwoman’s Waltz was born.

I normally only have a small little one- or two-sentence quote I make up for each of these, but I thought of that scenario for a “madwoman’s waltz” and had to write it. So I’ll shut up and let that do the talking.

I take a deep breath as I walk past the threshold of the door. I know she’s waiting here for me. Where else would she be than the place where the two of us spent so much time?

It’s eerily quiet in here, though. This place used to be so full of life and energy at twilight, but at this twilight? No, there was no life here besides hers, even if I had no sight of her right now.

A sudden soft thud grabs my attention, and I hear a record spin to life before I hear the tune of a waltz begin to play. I can hear strings being plucked on the recording. That’s all it takes for me to recognize the song. After all, it was her favorite one growing up. It’s a strange one, but it takes someone odd to appreciate a song like that.

“Welcome to my ballroom!” I hear from the opposite end of the room as a figure struts forward from one of the side doors.

It’s her.

I instinctively reach for my weapon, but she simply smiles at me with a grin wildly inappropriate for the current situation.

And then she holds out her paw. “Come on… Won’t you give me one last dance, for old time’s sake? We can talk, woman to woman.”

I admit, that request catches me off guard, and I stutter for a moment, not quite saying anything intelligible. When I regain my composure, however, I smile wryly back. It makes sense that, even as crazy as she has become, we were still practically sisters until very recently. Maybe even more.

A madwoman’s waltz while a war goes on around us, the sounds of magic and battle filling the air with the soundtrack… How could I refuse?

Hey, everyone.

I, uh… know I've been gone a long time. Things have been extremely hectic in my life over the past year, and I'm just now starting to catch up with everything. Because of how stressful everything was, my muse just wasn't there. I couldn't write anything substantial for the past six months, and what I did write, I didn't think was really fit to go up on here.

Maybe I was wrong about some of those; I'll have to go and check. But that's not what today is about. No, today is about a new song, one I only started working on last night. I breezed through this one! It felt so natural to write, so rhythmic and punchy.

And most of all, it sounded epic, and that's just what I needed.

Actually hasn't been that long, which is surprising, to say the least. I didn't think I'd have the kind of drive I did with The Destinymaker for a while, and truth be told, I didn't for most of today.

I had this song I've been working on since July, and I haven't made much progress on it since then. I've been trying out different ideas over the past several months, and none of them really worked, but I showed one of my friends the song, and they gave me a wonderful idea for the progression of the song, one that took me from musician's block to finishing the song in an hour. Needless to say, I'm really happy with this one and pretty proud.

I'm not gonna blather on for too much longer. Enjoy the song!

It’s been a while again, but I think I’m starting to realize that I need more time with these tracks in order to reach the highest quality possible. While I may have been very active in 2021 and 2022, that just isn’t sustainable for me anymore, especially since I’ve been really proud of my work lately. So expect me to upload every few months rather than every few weeks. I hope anyone who’s stuck around is still craving more music from me!

But enough about that! You’re here to hear about the new song!

This one came from a combination of inspriational sources. I’ve been playing a lot of Division 2 and Resident Evil lately, and both games have a mysterious Nemesis boss character. While they differ wildly in execution, I figured I could use that as a basis for a character of my own. I’ve been brainstorming a new project, and a boss called the Nemesis would fit in perfectly with the theme of the game.

So when I got to work on a new song recently, I just knew I had to call it “Nemesis” once I put together the intro. It took me a while to decide where I really wanted to go with it, but I’m really proud of what I did. This, Starships, and Destinymaker really are my best works by far, and I hope to keep the magic going with my next songs.
