For the love of music that is complex and deep. It all started with old school techno, house and hip-hop.These tracks are built more on flow and the gradual addition (or progression) of elements rather than quick obvious loud transitions like you have in mainstream EDM and Electro House. This type of music isn't one bit boring and it is not one bit simple to make. The reason this doesn't have the mass appeal than the more mainstream tunes do is simply because this style requires far more thought and patience, most people have short attention spans and are used to listening to boring formulaic music which generally consist of a largely reverbed kick drum and a heavily side-chained super saw. So really what I'm saying is, this type of music is far far FAR more complex than the average run of the big room EDM track, and the reason it's not more widely appreciated is because most people in the world don't want unique sounding tunes, they want the same thing they've heard hundreds of times before because their brains cant comprehend anything else.
