Returning with a striking 3-track EP, Swiss producer Dan Sushi delivers his ‘Orbital’ EP on Purified Records. Opening with the title track, he showcases his powerful sound with undulating synths, dramatic instrumentation and hard-hitting bass. Moving into ‘Homecoming’, a driving arrangement develops throughout its duration, combining heavy percussive elements with soaring keys. Rounding it off with ‘Storm’, Dan Sushi crafts an entrancing atmosphere to close the EP, taking over control with rolling rhythms, staccato chords and thunderous bass. 

The ‘Orbital’ artwork features a mesmerizing image of a reef shark amidst a school of fish, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Shockingly, less than 3% of the ocean is fully protected. This means overfishing, bottom trawling, and other destructive activities continue to wreak havoc on the ocean. Scientists say we must protect at least 30% of the ocean by 2030 to stabilize our climate, stop wildlife exploitation, and secure an equitable, healthy future for life everywhere. In December 2022, at COP15, world leaders from over 190 nations committed to this global initiative. Now it’s time to hold them to their promise. Purified family members Paradoks and Jono Stephenson join forces for their outstanding debut collaboration, ‘Pulling Me To You’. Expertly blending their individual sounds in sonic harmony, the producers devise a euphoric soundscape that is completed by Frynn’s majestic vocals. 

The ‘Pulling Me To You’ artwork features an underwater still of the ocean, captured by Daniel Nicholson. Warming waters, driven by climate change, are causing significant disruptions in our oceans, impacting marine life and ecosystems. As ocean temperatures rise, species are forced to migrate to cooler areas, altering traditional habitats and breeding grounds. Coral reefs, crucial for marine biodiversity, are experiencing severe bleaching, leading to the loss of vital ecosystems that many marine creatures rely on. Additionally, the melting of polar ice caps due to warming waters contributes to rising sea levels, threatening coastal communities and habitats. These temperature shifts disrupt food chains, impacting fish populations and the fishing industries dependent on them. If current trends persist, the future health of our oceans and the balance of marine life will be at grave risk, with far-reaching consequences for global ecosystems and human societies.

Amsterdam based melodic dj/producer Laura van Dam returns from her summer tour with a melodramatic melodic techno gem, called "Get Lost" made for the darker winter days ahead. After her recent releases on Anjunabeats, Armada and Zero Three, Laura returns home for her latest melodic masterpiece.
