Lindsay West is a south-London based singer and songwriter who has played and written with the Nextmen and Matthew and the Atlas and is part of the alt-folk band Love.Stop.Repeat.

Lindsay has produced a self-released album (Cramond Island) and two EPs on Make Your Own Adventure Records (Fall and We Came in from the Sea) is about to release a third EP with MYOA. This will feature Lindsay West Band, who bring a dynamic and sometimes darker sound to the music. Cerys Matthews played Lindsay's song 'The Rain' on her BBC 6 Music show in August 2013 and 'Newcastle' was featured several times on Tom Robinson's own Slashmusic radio show.

Al Joshua was the lead singer and songwriter in Orphans & Vandals. In 2009 they released their debut album to wide critical acclaim:

Five years later, Al Joshua has suddenly re-emerged with a huge amount of astonishing new songs that are profound and funny and deeply moving all at the same time. Filled with his beautiful and complex lyrical imagery, his unusual melodies and phrasing, delivered in a textured and intimate voice, these songs mesmerise and haunt and offer flashes of insight into where Al Joshua has been for the last five years.

At the same time, bewilderingly, he has also written the forthcoming feature film, “Set the Thames on Fire”, produced by Blonde to Black Pictures and directected by Ben Charles Edwards. Described as a “dark, surreal, satirical comedy about two boys trying to survive and find hope while falling through the cogs of a nightmarish, fantasy London of night times, dawns and dusks,” it sounds like one Joshua’s songs come to life, and will be released next year.

Jeremy Tuplin is a singer songwriter from Somerset now playing his trade in London, an obsessive lyricist whose story songs are infused with folk, blues and Americana influences to name but a few.

Robin Elliott honed his craft writing and recording songs about Mancunian gangsters for Channel 5 and pre-teen kickboxers for Channel 4, and honed his art by writing and recording two great, lost EPs – Green Ginger Wine and Nowhere in Particular.

Currently he is recording an album of songs written for and performed by various artists of his acquaintance - including Samantha Whates, Josienne Clarke & Ben Walker, Sophie Jamieson and The Giddi Mamas.

Dead Flowers are a London based Alt.Country / Americana band formed around the songs and voice of Ian Williams. The debut album features a collection of songs written whilst traveling from New York City to Montreal.

The writing started in the winter of 2011 underneath Coney Island’s Wonderwheel, an ancient ferris which still spins to this day. And the songs kept on coming as Ian worked his way up the East Coast, finally pulling into Montreal, where he spent long nights at the Wheel Club until the spring came and the snow melted.

Returning to the UK with demos and tales to tell, it wasn't long before a band formed around the songs and Dead Flowers was born. Over several months, in studio sessions in London & Bath, the band recorded the songs which would form debut album ‘Midnight At The Wheel Club’.

In Autumn 2012 the band travelled to Montreal for a break from the recording. But a chance encounter with Christopher Fox (Folly & The Hunter) soon lead them to his Montreal studio, recording Pump Organ for ‘The Beach’ and forging a relationship with Chris which would lead to him mixing the album over the winter.

Though there is an undeniable darkness to the songs, sometimes the light breaks through, but never for long enough to break the spell. Think of a slow train crawling through a cold winter and an unending supply of whisky.
