Written sometime in 1997 while I was at Long Beach State. There was this beautiful girl in one of my classes that year. I always wanted to talk to her but I never did. She had this little kite patch on her backpack. These lyrics were written during a class period while I was daydreaming. This is still my favorite song to play live.

I Am A Kite

Written in October of 1997. It was a great summer. Good friends and a week long vacation in the mountains. We drank too much, smoked too much and talked for hours on end. "Conversations" is an ode to Matt, Jared, Lee, Alexis, Brianna, Mike, Adam, Joe and the rest of the gang that stopped by. We had a beautiful time that summer and I'll never forget it. Live in Harmony guys, we'll have to do it again.

Written in December of 1997. "Bus Stop" is about Mr. Jack Kerouac. I read Dharma Bums that year and it changed my life. Live simply, live free and "F" the man. Kerouac exemplified what life should be. One of my favorite songs.

I think I wrote this song sometime in early 1998. I was listening to alot of folk music at the time. Lyrically I wrote this song about trying to get away. I was contemplating moving and I didn't have the cash.

This song was written in about 5 minutes back in 1994. "Back too Soon" is about a girl I knew who always played around with my emotions. She was a selfish girl and she caused a lot of pain during my high school years. The first recording of this song was by The Homemade Originals.
