One of the most active players in techno, Portuguese DJ and producer João Rodrigues aka Temudo, after leaving his trademark sound on labels such as Blueprint, Soma and Mord returns on Klockworks and delivers two cuts of elegant, pure bred techno. In his words: “I think these two tracks truly represent my vision for minimalist techno: repetitive music reduced to its core elements, where the sequencing of sounds and their texture come together to form a solid idea with every detail being meticulously crafted and has a clear intention. Following the success of the duo’s ‘Forte’ album earlier this year, Pan-Pot’s highly esteemed Second State label is thrilled to announce the release of the 13th edition of the ‘Sum’ Various Artist Compilation. As a celebration of Techno music, this compilation showcases the genre’s finest, promising to leave a lasting impression on enthusiasts worldwide.

The tracklist, curated with precision, features a diverse range of artists, each contributing unique sounds that encapsulate the soul of techno music. The compilation initiates with the pulsating energy of “Warehouse Impulse” by Audio State, setting a high-octane tone from the outset. Ben Champell’s “Give Me That” follows, with its raw and powerful sound captivating listeners. The hypnotic journey continues with “Basic Instinct” by Bruce Zalcer, showcasing intricate melodies and driving rhythm. In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. This quote by Albert Einstein perfectly embodies the motivation that led Pfirter to present a new project he had been hinting for months. Paralelo is the new platform that will host a limited amount of releases conceived under similar circumstances.

Twenty new tracks produced during the lockdown at his new studio in the mountains outside Barcelona. A parallel world-like period that seemed unrealistic and during which he remained connected to his deeper emotions through music, this new material will be spread within 10 limited releases. Pfirter unfolds a slightly different path of his musical direction with these productions meant to come out on a new, very special platform. Welcome to a new journey.
