Data B makes his full Codename: RCRDS debut with 'Deep Reflections EP', which provides a stunning showcase of this rising producers talents.

The EP opens with 'Elsewhere', a euphoric collaboration with label co-owner Moakz with spine-tingling pads and soaring leads entwined with rolling breaks and bass for a superb opener. The EP continues with the deep liquid roller 'Wakeup', full of crisp drums and chopped vocals, before moving into the glacial-tinged beauty of 'Change Your Mind'. This echoes the work of masters such as LSB with its introspective vocals, stunning strings and plucked guitars. The release then switches into another direction to close the EP for the crusty breaks and eerie vocals of the rolling 'Broken Window'.

This set was originally made in early 2017 in prep for a TAPE series with my homies from the L.A. Junglizm Crew. However, Life got in the way as it usually does and the series was delayed. Rather than wait, I've decided to release this now and make another set in 2018, but hopefully longer (if I'm allowed), frankly the music is too good. Not blowing smoke up myself, I just mean the era is too good, it needs to be played more, so stay tuned for part 2 and more.

PARALLAX RECORDINGS is proud to welcome Tim Reaper to make his debut for the label. 'Dead & Buried‘ turned many heads whenever played out with it´s horror samples and crazy mentazms. And if that wasnt enough darkness 'Journey To The Moon‘ doesnt feature any horror samples and is still just as pitch-black: relentless beats, heavy sub and rushing synths guarantee all hell gallops, without anything powerful enough to stop this beast. To balance the tension the positively uplifting 'Dope Break‘ combines the rough with the melancholic and has enough punch to light up any floor at peaktime. To close the EP in style Tim supplies a remix of On 1 Crew´s 'Bad Dreams‘, an obscure little number that LTJ Bukem used to play in 93 and which was the first release on Parallax in 2016. Tim effortlessly flipped it in no time and delivered this nutty jungle techno beast. Enjoy this 'terror brought down to earth'!
