Fracture returns to the label for the first solo release since The Limit VIP to kick off another LTD 10” series. APHALTD001 sees Fracture giving the VIP treatment to one of his favourite hardcore records from 1992; The Skeleton Krew’s ‘Luv Ta Luv Ya’. Originally released on Skeleton Recordings, it was a big favourite of DJ Randall and LTJ Bukem but as a young Charlie Fracture was only 13 at the time it was pirate radio where he first heard it: 

“I had a tape from my favourite station, Weekend Rush. It was a Vinyl Groove set with MC Shabba over it and a lot of the records on there totally blew my mind. I’ve since found out what pretty much all of the records are but there was this one, Luv Ta Luv Ya, that I only recently managed to get an ID on and lost my mind again. I hadn’t heard it outside of that tape, which I sadly lost.” 

Soon after finding out the details of the record, Fracture took to twitter to pass on his love for the track and praise to DJ Monita. It turned out the praise was mutual and that he was very much still active. Very soon after that a remix was arranged . . . sometimes the internet does actually work, or was it something in the stars?

We've been following Leeds-based producer Samurai Breaks for a few years now through his releases on some of our favorite uptempo imprints like Ground Mass Music, The Dreamers Recordings, Worst Behavior Recs, and most recently, Belgium's illustrious Halogen Music. His high-octane blend of jungle, juke/footwork, drum and bass, hip hop beats, and classic rave music is built club-ready, and if you've ever seen a warehouse going nuts to jungle at 3 o'clock in the morning, it was probably to music that sounds a lot like Samurai Breaks. Whatever's going on in that head, we're here for it, and we couldn't be more excited to premiere the latest single "Tommy 2Fast" from his new release "Anti-Social Club" forthcoming via Halogen Music next week. Circa96 - Fantasy (Ben Kei & Pesk Remix)

Manners & Respect, a very limited run of four jungle tunes which have had support from the likes of Double O, Sully, Threshold, Stretch among others. I have had quite a few people ask about whether these tunes would be coming out, so I thought I'd put them all on one EP.

My music is heavily influenced by, and samples from, black music, especially reggae and dancehall. I love both those genres, and without them jungle simply wouldn't exist. I want to pay tribute to the culture, of both reggae dancehall and jungle music, and not appropriate them.

Jungle music has always been about unity right from the start, the meeting of the rave culture and sound system culture to create what I believe, is England's only truly multicultural music, a product of two cultures combining.

So, manners and respect, to help with bringing unity and love where it is needed, will pay 10% of any profits generated to the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, which was founded to tackle inequality in all forms. And is dedicated to transforming the life chances of young people and improving the world in which they live in, working with communities and young people from disadvantaged and under-represented backgrounds, helping to transform lives and create a society in which everyone, regardless of their background, can flourish.
