'Old Empire' closes the EP and shows another dimension of Innercore's sound
palette. Sinking sound effects keep the dark vibe alive. An assault of running
amens slaps you in the face while a female screams 'All Over Me' - and this tune
really is all over you. Warm pads appear and bring some enlightenment throughout, but the dark synths are just around the corner, ready to attack your sins again!

'Fastlane' starts off where A1 let off - another bulletproof rhythm with claps, 808
kicks and electro feel that builds and builds. The tonality stays dark, from the
intro pads to the stone-cold synth line that keeps twisting and turning and finally
culminates in a 303 acid riff. Another addictive tune that will turn many heads!

Waves crash against the shores, accompanied by a simple and melancholic xylophone melody. A peaceful atmosphere. A voice from the off asks 'To the future or to the past?' and a lush tune with female vocals and warm tuneful subbass unfolds upon us. Just when we feel all soothed George Orwell corrupts our daydream with a toast from 1949, that now - 73 years later - sadly is still a distant future - or 'A Future Passed'? 

'To a time when thought is free when men are different from one another and do not live alone - to a time when truth exists and what is done cannot be undone: From the age of uniformity, from the age of solitude, from the age of Big Brother, from the age of doublethink - greetings!'

My name is Dan aka Johnny Clash and I’ve been around for a while and I like and play all kinds of music. This is very much a jungle mix though not quite entirely and I believe it will take you on a journey, which is DJ talk for it’s a mess but I think it just about hangs together.

A big thank you to my good friend the lovely Uncommon Sense who introduced me to a few of the key players in this mix, and in fact was the one who brought Foot Long Records along to hear me play out. So it’s her fault. Shout out to my main northern hangout Stumblefunk ‘le fluff diabolique’ which has been the location, literally and emotionally (can I say spiritually? yeah, let’s say spiritually as well) for many of the shenanigans which have led up to this moment. This week its Foot Long Records First Birthday on the 15th of September, and to celebrate we have a very special mix from a technician in, Diverse Pressure !

Diverse Pressure says;

Started Djing back in the 90's. Bought a pair of Technics 1200's and still use them to this day. I class myself as an old skool style Dj using only turntables.

Once I mastered the art of mixing I entered a DJ competition at the local underground record store and won a DJ slot at local night called the Perfect Beat, this turned into a residency. From this I went on to play at underground raves until the early 2000's and even promoted a couple of nights. Now just an avid record collector with around 1200 Vinyl. I am just an internet DJ now doing my page and a few guest mixes. I mix music from 1992 to present and as the name suggest it's a diverse mix of Drum and Bass/Jungle.
