Ambient soundscapes mixed with Hardcore amens and deep subs. Energetic yet meditative B1 "Imy From The Fruit Farm" goes even deeper. Lush ambient pulling you in over subtle breaks, flowing atmospheric jungle. B2 "Dragnet" is another full on amen choppage tune but with subtle guitar licks and wavey atmospherics.

It has horror samples galore, a sub bass that will peel your impure skin off, and that´s even before the reece hits you and the tunes flips itself on its head and hits you with melancholic pads and a piano before switching off the lights again. You can´t prepare for that ride!

Can´t Take It No More has something about it, we fell in love straight away. It starts with bells, is overall super low-fi with fat subs, pitched-up HipHop samples and that distinctive 'I Can´t Take It No More' sample. The pads sound as if they were lifted straight off a reel, a crusty production that is perfect in it´s own right. This can be placed straight between your 92/93 selection and no one would guess it´s a 2023 production!

So..Dark! lulls you into an uplifting angelic mood, think Lucky Spin/ Deejay from that era with warm pads and guru chants. Suddenly we´re switching into another program: A heavy drop hits you unexpected, pitched-up and -down ragga chants slap you in the face and before you can comprehend what happened here Matt Bass ramps up the unease with a superdark drop that´s dripping of darkness. It´s...so...dark!

We last had DJ Being (formerly known as Delta) round for the Right Up takeover a few months back spraying down some proper darkside on vinyl. This time he’s back and joined by good friend Yiiiet for a 2 hour B2B. Yiiiet is known more for his 96’ selection while Being for his 98’ so this will be a nice fusion of the two.

Lavery - The Man Who They Mention

PARALLAX RECORDINGS is proud to welcome Tim Reaper to make his debut for the label. 'Dead & Buried‘ turned many heads whenever played out with it´s horror samples and crazy mentazms. And if that wasnt enough darkness 'Journey To The Moon‘ doesnt feature any horror samples and is still just as pitch-black: relentless beats, heavy sub and rushing synths guarantee all hell gallops, without anything powerful enough to stop this beast. To balance the tension the positively uplifting 'Dope Break‘ combines the rough with the melancholic and has enough punch to light up any floor at peaktime. To close the EP in style Tim supplies a remix of On 1 Crew´s 'Bad Dreams‘, an obscure little number that LTJ Bukem used to play in 93 and which was the first release on Parallax in 2016. Tim effortlessly flipped it in no time and delivered this nutty jungle techno beast. Enjoy this 'terror brought down to earth'!
