We´ve been following Lee Croucher aka Sync Dynamix from the very start when
he started building Good 2 Go DMR in 2019. The label is now going from
strength to strength with releases by Blame, DJ Sappo, Dan Silk, InnerCore,
Renegade HZ, Ruff Jam, Juic-E, Lavery, Code Of Silence, Arkyn and many other
talented artists and nearly 20 releases deep. We are very proud to now bring
you his very first solo EP and the first outing outside of his own label.

The opener ' Is This Reality?' opens with tippsy arps,atmospheric pads, 808 subs
and a distinctive hit vocal. The steppy beats soon make way for crashing amens
and there´s no stopping from there really. The track progresses into a signature
melancholic second break of 'no scientific reality', but best hear for yourself.

SYNC DYNAMIX  - IS THIS REALITY

We are very proud to welcome the Polish wunderkind Radicall to the Parallax label. His releases on Cantinca Cuts caught our attention and so we reached out and were surprised by the quality of the tracks he sent us. He then continued to write more music for us in the style we represented, and boy did he deliver in no time! We can´t wait to bring you more of him in the future, but for now, here´s a  2x12" with 2 digital bonus cuts as there just was too much good stuff we wanted to show you! The first vinyl is on a darker, outer-worldly tip, the second one represents his more happy/ piano-led tunes. Turn it up!

This mix highlights the tunes of 2024 that I personally like and played throughout the year. In contrast to the very beginnings of our contemporary Jungle scene, there are now so many releases I sometimes have a hard time keeping an oversight of what´s coming out. Starting on an atmospheric tip 'Imagination' stylistically harks back to the hazy days of 1994/95 and is a celebration of life. An interesting vocal, pan pipes and an overall early morning vibe paint a vivid picture. The drums build and build and end up in a rolling amen. This tune has it all and is a great intro to any set.

Your whole life is 'Just A Dream'! This tune was the initial reason we reached out to the man. We saw a short videoclip of him in his hardware studio presenting a rough sketch of it and immediately fell in love with the retro sample paired with the boomin bass, lazy drums and melancholic pianos. It drops superheavy into machinegun amens, 'Right now ya baaaad' vocals and will leave you disoriented until the piano returns to catch you from stumbling over your dancing feet. It´s an adorable tune with just the right mixture of light and darkness again.

'You And I' closes the EP in style. This tune is totally 12 Bit Jungle Out There but the way he places things reminds on Lemon D´s way of writing tunes, think I Can´t Stop or Manhattan Melody. Jazzy chords, housey male vocals, and rising and falling harp sounds set the scene and build tension. Just when you´d expect it to drop superhard it surprisingly drops into a dry stepper, only to catch you with an unexpected amen later in the tune. And just when you thought that this tune has all the elements it needs it drops a third time (!) and a hard reecebass cuts your head off clean. A style not revisited so often and a deadly weapon when placed right.

'Pills N Shit' was the last adition to the EP but we´re glad it made it´s way. A rough with the smooth jungle tune. It starts with eastern kungfu-flick-style sounds, a fat 808 and rolling breaks before leading in a quirky summery break with birdsounds, positive pianos and sweet vocals. Fast paced amens with mad edits and psychadelic soundeffects keep you on your toes throughout. It´s euphoric but pleases the dancefloor at the same time. "We used to go for walks on pills n shit', what a dope tune!

We are absolutely thrilled to finally present you the return of Solaris to the label! It´s been a long time in the making, but we shortened your wait with Aurora/ New Moon on PARADUBS002 which came from the same set of tracks. So, here you have it: 4 more absolutely timeless tunes by the gifted man like Dean! 

'Phantasm' kick things off: It´s nighttime and the rain falls, you can´t escape the bittersweet atmosphere. The signature cinematic Solaris vibes grab you and set the tone for what´s coming: Driving beats skip along while the thumping sub bass switches halfway through the tune into a more stepping affair. Beautiful pads lead into the second break full of strings, etheral pads, shivering vocals and lush pianos before the thumping bass returns once more and sways you off into the morning hours.

Solaris - Phantasm [PARA026]

We are absolutely thrilled to finally present you the return of Solaris to the label! So, here you have it: 4 more absolutely timeless tunes by the gifted man like Dean! 

'Solarize' opens with bongos and soothing vocals before echoing pitched-down snares lead into rolling amens and long choral pads. A fat subbass accompanies the rolling amens and we´re off for a fantastic journey: Big chord pianos and a dreamy atmosphere lull you and the fat subs and beats ensure this works for both the headphone as well as the dancefloor crew. A future classic!

'Drift On By' is the perfect tune to welcome the first sun rays of a new day. Deep and atmospheric, this one is a steady builder and has the right mixture to let your soul fly or your feet shuffle. Lush long pads and punchy drums, male and female vocal snippets, and a hypnotic swirling guitar make this very special. It sounds like a lost Bukem dubplate, like Good Looking in its heyday. We are very proud to have this on Parallax.

'Beautiful Things' don´t ask for attention, it never lets itself be seen! This tune ends this epic journey and guides you back home. An intense ride. With dark pads, hard synths, hard breaks, and booming 808´s. So tough it even makes Sean Penn stop in his tracks.

InnerCore returns to Parallax. With his strong debut 'Voltage Controlled' he showed what he´s capable of, with his PARADUBS release 'Style Is A Crystallisation/ Never Sleep' he proved once again that  he belongs in the holy halls of Jungle Techno. Now he´s back to present us a new set of tricks and brings us two absolutely gorgeous atmospheric Jungle rollers on the A side while returning to his signature Jungle Techno style on the flip!

'Soul Cycle' is a tune just equally as strong as the EP-opener. A spiritual and esoteric intro lulls you in before rough amens and harsh hardcore noises interrupt the meditative aura. It combines the best of different worlds, the yin pairs with yang, the meditative with rage!

InnerCore - Soul Cycle [PARA027]

InnerCore returns to Parallax. With his strong debut 'Voltage Controlled' he showed what he´s capable of, with his PARADUBS release 'Style Is A Crystallisation/ Never Sleep' he proved once again that  he belongs in the holy halls of Jungle Techno. Now he´s back to present us a new set of tricks and brings us two absolutely gorgeous atmospheric Jungle rollers on the A side while returning to his signature Jungle Techno style on the flip!

Closing off the release with another dark tune, Spellbound builds and builds. Dark pads, ghostly sounds and 'Got me in its spell' vocals lead into the last tune of the EP. Dark stabs and a fat sub that moves along like a hungry Barracuda paired with pumping beats are the order of the night! What are you afraid of? Whatever it is, it´s here!

Innercore - Spellbound [PARA027]

InnerCore returns to Parallax. With his strong debut 'Voltage Controlled' he showed what he´s capable of, with his PARADUBS release 'Style Is A Crystallisation/ Never Sleep' he proved once again that  he belongs in the holy halls of Jungle Techno. Now he´s back to present us a new set of tricks and brings us two absolutely gorgeous atmospheric Jungle rollers on the A side while returning to his signature Jungle Techno style on the flip!

Flip the record over and the mood switches instantly. 'Isolation Tank' is filthy, it´s nasty, it´s rough, it´s thrilling. Shuffling breaks and harsh industrial noises make this an uneasy listening. Piercing sounds, like fingernails screeching on metal. This is pitch-black, it´s dark without trying.

InnerCore - Isolation Tank [PARA027]

InnerCore touches down on Parallax lathe-dubplate label PARADUBS with two filthy Jungle Techno bombs.

'Style Is A Crystallisation' is a truly special tune. Synth stabs and mentasms accompanied by howling sound effects and shuffling breaks set the groove and lead into an epic breakdown of strings and synth modulation. There are always new elements being introduced to keep things moving and interesting. We especially love that one moment in the second breakdown when the lighthearted synth morphs into a darker version of itself. This has to be a hot contender for the most unusual arrangement we heard in a Jungle Techno tune as it ends on an absolute high note. The perfect end-of-the-night tune. This style is a crystallisation!

InnerCore - Style is a Crystallisation [PARADUB003]

InnerCore touches down on Parallax lathe-dubplate label PARADUBS with two filthy Jungle Techno bombs.

'Never Sleep' was born out of a conversation that Vali had with Matt when he cited the Nas line 'I never sleep cuz sleep is the cousin of death'. Determined as Matt is, he straight went to work to suprise Vali the next day with this tune. Timestretched beats in the intro, lazershots, the '100 miles and running' amen and the distinctive Nas vocal make up for a stunning tune already. Add mentasms and a euphoric breakdown with 'neverending dream' vocals and piano sprinkles and you have a tune that will errupt on any dancefloor. More timestretch! ..and back into the groove! This one´s effective!

InnerCore - Never Sleep [PARADUB003]

Sonar´s Ghost returns to Parallax and makes his debut on lathe-cut label PARADUBS. 

'Box Of Delights' is a homage to a certain tune that put the Full Cycle label of the Bristol posse surrounding Roni Size, Die, Krust and Suv on the map back in the day. Can you guess which track it refers to? Classy rollin breaks, 'come on' shouts, 'inside my mind' vocal and jazz flavors are the order of the day here. Something to bop your head and get lost into, something to roll out a long mix with. Then the second break enters with a soothing female vocal and more jazzy licks. This has style! Spring is here, put this on loud and open the windows!

PARADUBS004 -A - Box Of Delights

Sonar´s Ghost returns to Parallax and makes his debut on lathe-cut label PARADUBS. 

Flip it over and you hear the sounds of 'Changing Realities'. A 'When you change your perception you change your reality' vocal and nice pads opens the tune. Oldskool stabs join the party, a heavy one-tone bass sets the pace and more of those classy steppin breaks enter the joint until an amen takes the tune to higher levels. This is weighty jungle!
