This house at the foot of the hills, the hills themselves surrounded by one body of water. As often before journeying here by ship, then riding the paved road further inland. The summer’s warmth melting the pavement away as it reveals itself to be part of the water. This is what it sounds like: race day. This is what it feels like: A homecoming? Well, it is not your home, at least not only yours. But it could be a container for memories that seep out and makes you sick with longing.
