Joep Mencke is a producer based in the Netherlands. Through his Dj-sets, breath-work, and, recently, his new live-set, he uses his music to facilitate an inward journey. Through musical storytelling he aims to provide a vehicle for exploration and transformation. His music, which is heavily inspired by nature and the immensely diverse cultures on this planet, can be characterized as: compelling, deep, and melodious. ¨Our set at the Mayan Warrior during Burning Man was a blast! It was our final performance of the week, and every ounce of inspiration we had gathered poured out in that moment. As we played through the night, surrounded by the iconic Mayan Warrior flames, we grooved and danced, letting the energy flow freely together with such an excited audience ! At one point, Thomas even climbed on top of the car to sing, feeling entirely at one with the crowd and the desert. The night was electric, a surreal experience. Thank you all for dancing and thank you Mayan Warrior.¨

Oh that Friday... That day was pure magic... A full day of adventurous situations, from grooving with a jazz band, to the wedding of our Lebanese friends, to the most beautiful sunset oft he week, to the little house burn, to the loving atmosphere in our camp, to the big Clan burn and the sky filled with red stars, we directly headed to one of our highlight on Afrika Burn in the Arkology stage. It was literally the perfect day. What a day, what a crowd, what an energy, the rest is history... <3

Thomas and Julien are Dutch brothers from South of France. They propose either Hybrid DJ or live acts cutting from Jazz, House & Techno  mixing several genres while keeping this uplifting, dirty and groovy feel. 

Passionates in authentic sounds, they produce their music through field recordings. Their video concept "A Day In” translates cultures through field recordings and collaborations with local and traditional musicians. They already have concluded first collaborations with Gnawa musicians in Morocco, Huichol tribe musicians in Mexico, Icelandic choir, and musicians from Osaka, Bengalor, Fiji Island, Bangkok and more. 

With releases on Crosstown Rebels, DGTL, Sapiens, Bar 25 and their own imprint, Klassified Records, the two brothers also run the Klassified Studios, a co-creative space in Amsterdam.
