‘Good Terms’ is about breaking up with someone on ‘good terms’ but then seeing that person moving through the world and doing well, which is painful and makes you feel a bit resentful. There’s a tension between wanting the other person to be happy and still feeling upset when they appear to be doing well. We like how the lyrics make digs at the other person while trying to be unbothered and still calling it ’good terms’.

Parallel Park are an upbeat five-piece indie band from Aotearoa NZ. They write songs with ‘feels’ - sonic explorations of life's complexities, with relatable themes of love, loss and self-discovery. 

Music NZ wrote “Parallel Park are creating something very different, unique, and of incredible quality in terms of songwriting, performance, and production. To call it indie pop rock is like putting it into an existing box when it’s something unique that deserves to proudly stand alone.” 

The band have been together since intermediate school in 2017. Highlights include playing a sold out 'Growing Taller' album release show, opening for The Beths, and performing at summer festivals. 

Their self-produced debut album ‘Growing Taller’ released in February 2024, with their earlier EP ‘Parallel Park Vol 1’ released in December 2022. Available on all main streaming platforms.
