A stone thrown, just to watch it fly. A projectile launched for the sole purpose of drawing a ballistic trajectory in the sky.
The Solens arc is what remains after the subtraction of the goal; a simple parabolic curve defined by gravity, impulse and starting angle. No target to hit, no catharsis to wait for, just the beauty of the flight.

The Arc as the purpose, in the form of four variations, constructed from disintegrated melodic textures and dismantled beats. Each sequences are assembled seamlessly into dense, evolving compositions, while keeping their autonomy, and their role in the global dramaturgy.

Pointillist serial loops morph into abrasive rave anthems, broken club rhythms are refitted into uneven patterns, like deconstructivist sound architectures. Industrial techno stompers dissolve into granular sound waves and filtered space pads, before being overtaken by cinematic drums and rising arpeggios.

Solens Arc is Kangding Ray’s fourth Album for raster-noton.

Der Track öffnet sich mit einer aufsteigenden Melodie, die Eile, Druck und Ankommen gleichzeitig vermittelt. Dann bricht alles auf: Stamp, Kick, Drive – ein Signal, das sagt:

Und ich bin unschlagbar.

Der Drop setzt ein wie ein Vorstoß nach vorne. Die klebende Kick schiebt dich durch den Raum, während die Melodie im Break wieder auftaucht und dich tiefer hineinzieht. Hard Techno, Hard Bounce, Trance-Energie – aufgebaut wie ein Weg durch Dunkelheit bis ins Finale.

After a short hiatus, the dynamic duo of VSK & Conrad Van Orton return once with their collaborative project, Symmetrical Behaviour. After a stead stream of releases via Soma over the last couple of years. The pair took time out to focus on solo project but return with a vengeance with the Superconducting Harmonic Oscillator EP which furthers their experiments in sound design and high-powered Techno.

Title track Superconducting Harmonic Oscillator kicks of the EP at a furious pace as highly charged atmospheres create and emphatically large sound for the pairing suitably tough beats to hammer through. Quantum Interference Device goes down a more direct path are expertly crafted rhythms overlap against a backdrop of highly evolved developed drones and synths. Amplitude Spectral Density keeps the tempo moving but leans of a more industrial tip with crashing beats submerged against articulately mangled synths that drive home the true force of the track. Resonant Antennae closes out the new EP from Symmetrical Behaviour and really has them show off their production prowess. Jarring and off kilter rhythmic structure combine to deliver a truly head pounding track complete with the pairs stylistic atmosphere manipulation.

Since 2020 unfortunately didn't bring much positive for most of us and many people are suffering from the consequences of the coronavirus, we thought of a way, just in time for Christmas, to give back and support people in great need together with all those who are able to help.

Many people have lost a lot due to the virus, other people were already in need of help before. There is a lot of suffering in this world and it seems impossible as an individual to help everyone, but together we have the opportunity to make a change!

We came together and based on collaborative work, sharing and support we finished 6 tracks that are now included in this fundraiser compilation, straight from the 01010100 roster.

We give you the choice, all tracks can be downloaded for free, but you also have the option to pay a small amount ( you decide).

All proceeds from the sales of these tracks will be donated 100% to "Ärzte ohne Grenzen", a german medical relief organisation that is operating globally.
