If you don't already know Sept then we are not sure where you have been but the man has a rich background in the electronic music scene being one of the most well known Polish exports as well as the head of DUEL and A&R of Voxnox.

He has brought us an hour of firing techno to get us prepared for our weekend plans.

Lucius Light, 22, is a slovenian techno DJ and producer. In 2018, he first came across techno and immediately fell in love with it. Out of a desire to learn more about this sound, Lucius began producing and eventually DJing.

He joined the slovenian underground techno collective Kibernet Kriminalität, in 2021, which allowed him the chance to present his sound. After his debut performance, Lucius Light rapidly became well-known on the Slovenian techno scene for his hard, atmospheric, percussion-driven and high-energy sound with psychedelic overtones that will have you dancing all night. His tracks have been supported by Amelie Lens, VII Circle, Xenia and many more.

She's an assassin, and we are beyond excited to announce our new Rave Edition resident.  We watched in awe as she dismantled Corsica Studios' Room 1  last Sunday with all the sophistication of a performer well beyond her years. Introducing Melissa D'Lima...

Jaded: Hi Melissa, thank you for recording this hour for the Children Of Jaded. How do you define your sound, and can you tell us about your journey into techno and influences?

Melissa: Thanks so much for inviting me, completely my pleasure to do it for you guys . I define my sound as very fast paced hard and industrial techno. I am influenced by hardcore, gabber and hardstyle music too. My journey into techno started not too long ago about 2 years. I was first listening to more mainstream techno for example drumcode but I quickly discovered the more underground techno scene and realised that I much preferred it. It was actually through Jaded that I discovered industrial and hard techno. I got to know many of my favourite artists through Jaded events and social media. My biggest influences are people like WNDRLST, TRYM, Nico Moreno, ØRGIE, Veta.M, Tyrant, Plexøs.  Their productions are really what inspired me to start everything. 

Jaded: Your “It Hurts To Talk About It“ on the Normative VA is a high intensity industrial weapon! Will there be more released this year and can you tell us about your creative process?

Melissa: Thanks! Yes definitely, I am really focusing on production and now I can say that I love it just as much as I love DJing.  I will release by debut E.P on Scale Trax in April. I’m really excited to release on this label! I have contributed to various artists compilations which are set to come out soon. I am also working on productions with other artists, which is something I always wanted to do. In terms of my creative process it usually takes me around 10 days to finish a track. I try to focus on one main melody and go from there. I like my tracks to show a progression building up towards one main melody and then building down afterwards. The kick is also really important to me, I spend a lot of time to perfect it because for me it defines my style. My set up right now is 100% software so it’s always just me and my laptop, and I guess my emotion at the time that inspires me to create that specific track.

Jaded: We are looking forward to your tenure as Rave Edition resident. What will you be bringing to room one and who would you most like to play alongside this year that you haven't had a chance to (yet).

Melissa: I am so happy and excited to be a Jaded resident and especially for this event. I couldn’t be happier and I am really grateful. I hope to bring a lot of high speed industrial rave techno. I want the rave editions to be extra special and crazy. This is why I think and hope my style works well for them. There are so many artists that I would love play alongside. So many people are shaping the scene right now; Dyen, Oguz, WNDRLST, Nico Moreno, Ørgie, 93Sovage, Mâcka, Axel Picodot, TRYM. It would be my dream to play alongside any of them!

@Gracedahl is a Techno DJ/Producer based in Amsterdam, making a name for herself with her stellar DJ performances and her flourishing skill for production.

Momentarily she finds her inspiration within a lot of old-school UK influences while mainly focussing on the more powerful, straightforward spectrum of Techno. She builds tension by adding current industrial touches, leading acid lines and sinister vocals to her otherwise dominating old-school sound.

She has notably destroyed the Unpolished and Vault Session Warehouse Elementenstraat on several occasions and you will understand why once you'll have listen to this set.

We are more than happy to welcome her into the Dusk Family!
