Mix of the Week #7 : Le Tournedisque

Elusive techno silhouette Yaleesa Hall drops three new ones for their very own Dutch label Will & Ink. High-tempo techno and electro with the occasional sprinkling of EBM essence, this trio of tunes are as jackhammery as they are dreamy, with 'Newman' providing the gloomy foretaste; 'Shanks' the dreamy, electrified meat-on-the-bone; and 'Williams' the rapturous coda. Forever pushing the envelope, Hall hits with rapid fire, synth heavy techno to glitching, low-end electro and atmospheric electronica.

Mattias El Mansouri's second outing on Aniara further expands his undulating minimalism after last year's Tja, Hej, Salam. Ce film désormais culte est truffé de clins d'oeil, références et blagues en tout genre. On peut par exemple citer certains messages apparaissant dans le film sous la forme de véritables hiéroglyphes et que l'on peut traduire ainsi : "Si vous pouvez lire ça, vous êtes un égyptologue".
