This week’s Friday Techno Drop is “Gold Rust”, a 7-minute, high-voltage trip through trance-driven techno at 155 BPM. Channeling the energy of early 2010s synths and acid grooves, the track builds with pulsing call-and-response patterns that keep the momentum rising.

As the textures evolve, tension gives way to a massive final drop—anchored by a thick, screaming lead bass that breaks through like molten steel on concrete. It’s energetic, hypnotic, and just the right mix of chaos and clarity.

“Gold Rust” also marks Track #27 in my Acrylic Synthesis series—a 30-track concept that began earlier this year and now enters its final stretch. Coincidentally, the last four Fridays of December line up perfectly, bringing this chapter to a close right on the final Friday of 2025.

Going back to the first week of LAMP Track of the Day selections you will find our appreciation and love for the label @GND-Records. Along the way we have talked about Sharooz, Turbo Turbo and label boss @S-File. Today we have an exclusive drop to share with you to celebrate their 100th release which comes out on vinyl today and digital stores August 29th. This release focuses on a remix pack of S-File's EP 'Digital Disorder' which came out earlier this year. To honor this milestone properly S-File picked some heavy hitters featuring the likes of Mark Broom, Ben Long and long time GND producer Turbo Turbo. Our focus today though is on head honcho S-File's 1Hundred mix of 'Transmission'. 

A nice booming kick and tribal techno groove start things off and, not long after, an airy pad builds its way in as a quick snare gives a hint of what is to come. An insanely intricate and well mixed menagerie of percussive elements and stabs are revealed that drive away relentlessly from the moment they kick off. Compared to the original tune, which gets straight to the point, this version features the industrial style groove which is more prevalent and focused on in this remix. I really like how the intro sort of eases you in and then just slams you in the face with the all of those drums. Also the kick is a bit more rounded out which really adds more body to the track. Definitely some pure driving techno to get your Monday started here at LAMP.
