What's The Cost

Their first single ‘The Cowboys Are Coming’, from their debut album ‘HERE FOR YOUR PLEASURE’ details the anxiety a young man feels as they mature in uncertain times. Written by Gus Walker soon after his 18th birthday in the midst of the first lockdown, the song pushes and pulls dynamically, representing the chaotic nature and unpredictability of that time in their life, and the ability to be more contemplative and thoughtful as you grow older.

The Cowboys Are Coming

The second single from their forthcoming record, ‘Oh Leah’ is the result of Gus’s experiences with exploitive and outright creepy people in fellow artists teams. The result of a less than pleasant interaction with a young woman’s manager, during which ‘the way of the world’ was explained to him, the song surmises the anger and helplessness many feel in the music industry.

A grunge-anthem for ages to come, ‘Save Face’ cheekily describes the jealousy of friends success. Written after a reunion of high school friends, ‘Save Face’ asks how people are able to stay positive as their goals drift further away, especially as your peers are achieving theirs. An ode to insecurity, ‘Save Face’ is a song any person coming of age post-pandemic will be able to relate to.
