Last year I was watching the Coachella live stream, flipping through the various acts and landed upon "Monsters and Men". They started their set with an epic intro, which I discovered was their song "Thousand Eyes". I got super inspired by the haunting vocals/lyrics and decided to flip the track into an electronic remix that I could play out during my sets. After finishing up the remix, I kept seeing visuals/scenery every time I would listen back to it. I decided to team up with my good friend Sean Patrick Sweetman and we went on a trip throughout all of LA, capturing some footage of our beloved city in rogue fashion. We then made it into this music video to share will all of you. Sometimes a small spark of an idea, can turn into much more. <3

Of Monsters & Men - Thousand Eyes (PARCEL Remix)

One day I was in Joshua Tree with my friends and the song "Petals" by Bibio was playing. I thought the vocals and melody would make a terrific break in a remix that could be played at clubs. I went home and flipped the song to make a remix of the track I and others could play out.

After the song was done I thought it needed some visuals to accompany the remix. I asked my friend Andrew Edman to help out. Together we created this video to share with all of you.

Parcel explores the relationship between melody and spatial awareness on side 1 'Airing', while side 2 'Erutan'' lends an alternative shade of analysis; furthering Parcel's deep exploration into sound design in relation to the environment.

I first heard this song earlier in the year and decided to put a spin on it by constructing a dark atmosphere with a deep bassline, stabbing leads and lush pads layered under her euphoric vocals.
